Well...what can I say? This thing made my flimsiest (is that even a word?) Collar make me look like a G! G (gangsta) in a satirical way...please I'm not a gangbanger.... My first thought about purchasing a Collar Stays Stiff Collar Stay was that I would feel it around my neck and feel like I'm being choked....that's not the case at all...you don't even notice it in a very short amount of time...you won't even notice it's there until you go and look in the mirror to confirm that it's working!My first time wearing it was in Chicago's most recent brutal weather....I used it on one of my most flimsiest (there's that word again) shirts. I have stopped wearing this shirt just because of the damn collar! No, seriously! It's nothing like dressing nicely, being in meetings, stopping at your favorite breakfast spot for coffee, tea, donuts, etc. ..giving a presentation at your weekly, monthly, bi-weekly meetings just to take a bathroom break and look in the mirror like DAMMIT! WHAT'S UP WITH MY COLLAR! ?!? After all that starch and sticky collar things on you you're going to collapse on me? Really? But wait were the people in my meetings and presentation not looking me in my eyes or eyebrows (for those that are uncomfortable looking people in their eyes) and starring at my weak, non-firm in fact folded down collapsed non-G collar? The answer is NA'AM! That's yes in Arabic! But wait it's only 10:30 am! I have hours now to not look like a G with this punk collar! What do I do? The answer is simple...use a Stiff Collar Stay!Wait was someone recording or taking pictures? Shiznit! (Do you need an interpretation of this word? Really? Anyway. ..to prove that I was a G ! I reran the same outfit the next day...minus the draws (interpretation?l...yes it was dejavu I walked into my work place with a Gangsta collar but this time they are starring at my whole outfit wondering if I spent the night! I can't wait for my other Stiff Collar Stay to arrive in the mail!

I never write reviews, this is one of my first. I have to say that I loved the way the collar stay worked (unfortunately for only 6 months). I received the item in the end of April and used it almost daily with work attire. I’m disappointed to say that now in mid October it has broken. I was reluctant to buy it in the first place due to the relatively high price in my opinion for what it truly is, a piece of felt coated metal wire, but decided to give it a try anyway. The design is great, and it worked great, just didn’t get much life out of it😔. Had it lasted longer I would have easily rated 5 stars. In my opinion it should be made of a higher quality metal that can withstand little bending over time. Especially for the price. Im still questioning wether or not it’s worth replacing.11/12/19I am writing this as a follow up on my last review of the collar stay. I DID end up purchasing another collar stay after some mental deliberation (as it did work and kept my collar and I looking great!). I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised that the inventor/owner of the company saw my review and express shipped my new one which was received within a few days of ordering! Thank you for that! I can honestly say that I REALLY hope this one lasts longer. I enjoyed my first one and was disappointed when it broke mostly because I didn’t want to go even a day at work without it after knowing how good my collar looked with it on. It really does work, it is comfortable to wear, and really does keep your collar looking top notch. Thank you again very much to the company owner/inventor for taking the time to read my review and speed up the delivery time on my replacement. I am changing my 3 star review to 5 stars for the hope of longer life of the new one!

I use this every day and it keeps my shirt collars up as designed. I love the way it remains undetectable. My only issue was that it woul move around in my collar and need adjusting to keep it balanced. My solution was to wrap a little double-back tape around the center of it so it would stay put. I really like this addition to my wardrobe and recommend it.
