Corrects what other manufacturers fail to do.
We installed a dashcam in my stepson's Mercury Mariner (Ford Escape clone). The dashcam has a front camera, an interior camera (shows backseat passenger area) and a back up camera. For whatever reason (financial probably), the rear camera cable is too short for most suv applications by about 4-5'. The cable has to be routed from the license plate area, through the large liftgate panel, into the headliner area and then down to the floor level and on to the head unit mounted on the windshield some 15' away. Hence an extender cable is needed. This 5 pin extender cable fit the bill. Good construction, stiff enough to be pushed through tight spaces but flexible enough to make tight curves behind interior trim. Just be sure to compare your cable to get the right one since there are 4 pin and 5 pin camera cable extenders. Good pictures to let you compare and choose.

Doesn't Work
Cable doesn't work, and when I went to go return the item, it states that the seller has no return policy. Piece of junk! *Update* Seller refunded the cost for the product.

Only problem would be that it doesn't come with a wire for reverse lights to utilize a function of my dash. Other words it is exactly as described.

Perfect Extension Cabke
This extension cable fit perfectly into the rear camera cable so that I could mount the rear camera properly.

Just what I needed to complete my installation.
I ordered a two camera, front view record, rear view picture while in reverse, rear view mirror. I was going to install the setup in my motorhome. After I received it, I found there was not enough wire length to reach from the back-up camera to the rear view mirror/recording device. I found just what I needed on Amazon, a five pin, three meter long extension wire that plugs right into the back-up camera, and into the the other wire that plugs into the mirror. It was supplied by YQMAJIM who delivered it in only three days. I am very happy with my order.

doesn't work
Length is perfect for my dashcam's rear view camera. Adding the necessary 4 feet or so I needed for my 08 nissan altima coupe. 5 pin connection is correct since I verified this upon placing the order and connections fit nice and snug. But sadly and frustratingly... it does not work.

EXTENSION
IT DIDN'T WORK FOR MY APPLICATION, WAS WARNED IN DIRECTIONS BUT TRIED IT ANYWAY. ADDED RESISTANCE ALLOWED IT TO TURN ON THE REAR CAMERA, BUT DIDN' TURN IT OFF WHEN IN FWD.
