Not compatible with Panasonic P2 slots
I bought this product trying to use it with my Panasonic Ag HVX 200 in to a p2 slot, after receiving it i used and SDHC 4GB card but wen i turned the camera on, it displayed and error message alerting of incompatible. After researching i found out that ist imposible to use this adapter for p2's because of the bandwidth both from cards and adapters. I am not sure if the electronic configuration that Panasonic uses with their custom made cards is diferente but it just didn't work. A transfer rate of 100 MB is necessary for panasonic streaming to be recorded on a card and must of SDHC and SDHX are around 45MB making them useless. If this manufacturers where smarts they would come up with a solution for this P2 technology and garante business for many year out of all p2 technology owners. If any one knows about a solution please let me know.

Works but beware with Windows XP
Edit: March 3rd 2014My adapter does NOT support SDXC cards--that is those over 32GB. I confirmed that yesterday. It is quite possible that the manufacturer has updated the firmware in the product since I purchased mine. Mine is model SDCBA while the SDCBA1 seems to be the current one.---This product does not come with drivers since the default Microsoft drivers are all you need. That said XP has a bug preventing you from (easily) changing the driver letter of a card in the reader.Google "Logical Disk Manager does not correctly display the state of your storage device when you are using Windows XP".If you're computer savvy, as I am, you can do it by editing the Registry.Google "How to change the assigned drive letter of the SD Card Host Controller".Of course this is not a fault with the product but something you should be aware of before purchasing.

This card will not work in a Honda Civic Hybrid
I bought this card adapater so I could use it in my Honda Civic Hybrid card slot to store music in the car. The adapter was too long, though, and my navigation screen would not close with this card inserted. It probably works great in a computer, but don't buy it for your Honda. You'll have to return it like I did. It doesn't make sense why these card adapters are not all the same size.

Decent hardware for older laptop
I bought this for an older computer running out of storage with no built-in SDHC card reader. When installed, the reader and the SD card fit flush with the side of the CardBus slot, which makes for a nice semi-permanent installation. Paired with a class 4 SDHC card, the transfer rates have been about on par with the USB 2.0 readers I've used (although I don't really know where the bottleneck is here, in the card or in the reader). This device loses one star for occasionally causing ACPI events like suspend or shutdown to fail, but it's fairly easy to install and remove (plug and play) before triggering these events. My setup:IBM T42p, 1.8 GHz Pentium M "Dothan"Windows XP SP3

Make sure you have up-to-date drivers!
The card comes without drivers or useful documentation. If your XP operating system is up to date with all Microsoft hotfixes you'll have no problem. If you don't have the most recent driver, you won't be able to read newer SD cards. What's worse, the Internet is littered with user complaints and incorrect answers. The Microsoft hotfix that solved the problem is KB94428-v3. Once installed, the card reads 8 GB SDHC Class 8 Cards with no difficulty.

Does not function with Mercedes
I cannot speak to the relative range of applications of this PC card adapter, since I only needed it for a single application, but it does not work with Mercedes head units. According to the standards as stated, it should, but it does not. For other applications, it may work fine.

Fast CardBus SDHC reader
I've had this reader for several months now and am very pleased. It was exactly what I needed. My SD cards are faster in this reader than in any USB reader I have used. Class 6 cards perform at or above Class 6 speeds and on my class 10 card I can read 20MB/s and write 10MB/s.The spring loaded eject mechanism was a little stiff when I first got the reader, but it has loosened up with usage. I always leave a card in the slot for use by Windows ReadyBoost and am pleased that I have not had any problems with cards slipping out.Sometimes the card is not detect when my computer wakes up from sleep or hibernate modes, but is quickly remedied by eject the SD card and put it back in. I'm not sure what cases this. It is equally likely that the culprit is my laptop, the card, the card reader, or even Windows.
