Oh. My. Gosh. This is the absolute cutest mermaid costume I have ever seen! We got it for the granddaughter and let me tell you, it was THE present of the party! The "oohs and ahhs" were aplenty, not only from her and her friends, but the parents were all impressed too. She has worn it every day since she got it. The costume has some stretch to it so she'll be able to wear it for a long time. She can actually run in this tail (huuuuge plus, have you seen those "other" costumes? How on earth do they expect a child to function?), no worries here. The little decorative shells and starfish and things are really cute and are securely attached, tho I'm not sure how long they'll last through washes. I'm sure they'll be fine. She just turned 4 and is tall for her age so I believe I ordered the 5-6 which works perfectly (it did look a little small, but it's stretchy!!!). She is rather picky on what touches her skin, I feel like a lot of kids are at that age. She didn't have any problems whatsoever. Overall, this costume far exceeded my expectations. The other reviews aren't wrong, this is a very quality made outfit that could literally be worn as such. The next time I need to order a costume, it will be from here.

Fits a little snug so maybe size up one but it worked out perfect for my daughters 6year photos on the beach! Colors are beautiful.

My daughter loved this and looked great in it. I was nervous to see if people would understand that she was a mermaid but people had no problems figuring it out and she got so many compliments!

I was looking and looking for an Ariel costume that wasn’t that shiny, tear easily material. I got this costume today and it is exactly how it looks, it is adorable and the material is exactly what I wanted! You will pay more, the Ariel wig is not included. I’m giving four stars because I don’t know how it will hold up yet but I can’t imagine there will be any issues with it.

Outfit is really pretty. The colors are vivid and are as expected. Unfortunately it arrived with pulls and snags. Its knitted and the material is kinda silky. When I inspected it it looked like some of the looms got pulled when they were packaging it or maybe poor workmanship? I got it for my daughter to wear to her party but there's no way it will last. Im not expert and I dont know if its worth trying to get it fixed or how to do it myself. And its not worth one wear for the price. So i will have to return it and find something else.
