Zal Import, Original recording

Zal is my first sToa album. I finally got around to buying the album after listening to a few tracks online. I find Olaf Parusel's compositions on the album simply breathtaking. The vocals by Antje Bucheiser adds a lot to Olaf's music. Her voice is just wonderful to listen to. The album consists of both songs with vocals and instrumentals. I love listening to Zal at night with a nice cup of hot tea or while taking a hot bath. The neo-classical melodies just warms my heart. Very soothing and relaxing to listen to. After listening to Zal, I definitely plan on buying their other albums in the near future. This is just wonderful music.

When I discovered sToa a couple of months ago, by accident, it was heaven sent. For so long I knew that certain types of music affected me but I didn't know that it had a name - Darkwave, Ambient, Ethereal, Neo-Classical, etc. I'm a Puerto Rican from Brooklyn for crying outloud ! LOL !!I've always loved sad, brooding music. I knew I was always a sucker for tragedy and loved music that reflected my dark and somber moods. I watched "The Fountain" one evening and fell inlove with the music by Clint Mansell. I started researching that type of music and hit a dead end since I didn't even know what it was called. I then moved on to YouTube and happened upon sToa by accident. I clicked on sToa and listened to "Alone" which is in the Zal album. I was blown away. This music called to my soul, and awakened something ancient and familiar within me. I was overjoyed !!! I proceeded to buy all 4 albums on the spot !! Wow !! By the Gods !! By anybody listening, holy cow !!! Holy anything and everything !! I cannot imagine anyone not being transported and deeply moved by this music. I need say no more, you experience it for yourself.I say it's difficult to hear this and not be convinced that we are indeed eternal.If this is your thing in music, get it !!! Get all 4 albums, you won't regret it. You will be broken.Thothgirl
