Does the lead have a good pigment pay off ?

Not sure what pigment pay off is??? But, all of the lead is black, there is no colored lead. It comes off nicely on paper. You can easily read it and erase it with a good eraser. Not sure if this is what you were asking....but, I tried!!

Yes. They are refillable if you can find the right sized lead. I have not looked so I can’t say if it’s easy to find or not.

What is the thickest lead available?

1.3 lead is very sturdy, try that 🙂

Does the pencil have metal parts inside? Need it for use in water

Hmmmmm - I doubt these could/should be used in water. Seems to be plastic, but there is likely a spring mechanism inside. They are cheap pencils, but I like them a lot.
