This is the type of book that needs to be updated every year, but a good starting point.

Very poor listing of schools. It appears that only the schools without any current reputation for theater wanted to be listed in this book.

Sorry Naysayers....we benefitted from using this book and also hiring Chelsea Diehl as our college coach for a kid in the arts.Ny daughter got a full academic scholarship to a major US college and their respected musical theater program.She will be done in 4 years and completely debt free.Pretty good for a kid in the arts and from out of state.None of this was courtesy of the high school guidance counselor. They know nothing of what programs and help existed for kids in the arts. Parents need to do their research and be actively involved.

Thorough overview of Musical Theater and Acting programs for incoming majors! I just got this book today and I am really impressed by how thorough the text is for programs throughout the US. It was great to see questions and answers with some of these schools too, because it helps not to 'second guess' what they want to see for each audition.I would definitely recommend this book to any high school student considering musical theater or drama to get them ready for their college auditions. There isn't any text like this out there (that I've found) so I would definitely grab this if you know someone who needs this. Every high school drama and music teacher should own this book.

This book is fantastic! It was easy to use, with tons of detailed information about various different programs. I found out what my dream school was, and a few other options to apply to as well!
