I have been using this printer about two weeks now and I absolutely love it. I almost didn’t get it because of all the reviews that said it was hard to set-up. I didn’t have any issues whatsoever. I am using it mostly for tabloid size 11 x 17. I will say that there is some confusion when you first start using it to copy because you have to set the original sheet size and the output sheet size but once I figured that out, it was fine. For the price, it is well worth the money if you need to print 11 x 17. It has been a lifesaver. My only comment, is that the scanner quality isn’t the best unless you use the HP Smart app. I’ve been using that anyway, so all good here.

I have two other HP printers and have not had this problem. I just received this printer today so it was brand new out of the box and I am experiencing issues with it. As you can see by the pictures, there is a lot of streaking and smearing of the black ink. I have printed the same document on my other printers and have not had this problem at all, so I am thinking there is some type of defect on this printer. Update 5/12/24- I am now rating this printer 5 stars. I ended up ordering a new printer because I had a feeling the first one I had was defective. I am experiencing zero issues with smearing and it is printing perfectly fine now! I am currently waiting for Amazon to pick up the first printer I ordered to receive a refund. The printer is rather large, but it looks very nice on my desk and I love that it has two trays and can print larger sizes to create my classroom posters and mini anchor charts.

I have been purchasing HP printers since 1989 - and have purchased a lot of them. This machine is the poorest technology that I have ever seen. The settings and user menus are useless and are not user friendly. While the set-up and use software that loads to my computer shows many features that would appear to make this machine easy to use do not functionally work. I just got done spending 1.5 hours trying to change the printer app to select from a specified tray for using a specific size of paper product and finally achieved "partial success". The printer would not respond to app directions for sizing the paper and selecting the tray to print from. This machine is advertised as being totally functional in a wireless environment; however, I could not make certain features operate without attaching a USB cord between the printer and my computer. What a waste of money. When I attempted to obtain support, there were no troubleshooting directions for the experiences I was having and I was totally unable to contact a direct chat or human interface to try and fix the problems. What a waste of money. I am now stuck with a $369 piece of junk that I should probably use as an anchor for my boat (if I still had one).

Excellent color accuracy, very good print speed, always reliable, no-hassle setup, and ample paper capacity. Great bang for the buck.

Needed a ledger sized printer to partner with my 9600 series Officejet Pro. The 9600 wifi always connects to home wifi but 9730 doesn’t always connects and was set up for internet printing. This seems to be why it is offline at times my 9600 always is online. But the when I need 11x17 photos printed, it does a great job on my heavy weight photo paper
