Very handy to have around. Used them for wiring on for power pergola and sun screen. Worked well for this, they will look good longer the metal types.

This review is for the Bates brand Nylon Cable Glands (assorted pack of 50). I got these to bring some PV wire into an enclosure. The PG7 was just a hair too small for AWG 10 solar rated wire. It would be appropriate for 12 and perhaps 14 gauge wire. I was able to secure the PG9 size onto 10 gauge PV wire just by hand tightening. If I need more of these, I will be buying this size. Since these are plastic, I expect the to only last a coupe of years when exposed to sun light. Also, the plastic felt pretty soft. I could get a good seal by hand tightening them. I think with tools, they will be easily damaged.

One of the reasons that I ordered this kit is that it comes with a nice assortment of different sized cable glands. Around my workshop, I am always doing something where I need something like these cable glands. I often times will strip down old worn out equipment and save items like these for future use. This kit is so nice because it offers a nice assortment in the sizes I need and now I don’t have to constantly look through jars of hardware hoping I have the right size. Looking this kit over, there were no missing parts and everything looked good. I took a number of the glands out and they all operated smoothly and properly. They were very easy to use and I thought they all worked great and worked as advertised. I am very pleased with this set of cable glands.

I've got an electrician coming over to help me figure out how to get my off-grid solar power running where I need it to go, and this kit is going to work out great for him to work with. The glands look like they'll be good and tight once the cabling is run, and having the different sizes means he'll be able to take advantage of the miscellaneous gauges of cable I have on hand for his use.

I needed something like these Bates- Nylon Cable Gland, 50 pcs, 3-16 mm Cable Gland Connectors last summer and wasted most of a day trying to find it at a local hardware store so I got this set for future project requirements. (The cost of this set is less than the cost of gas to the closest hardware store for me.) Due to the water-resistant feature of the connector, it makes the grip longer than otherwise necessary. I took a photo with a US quarter for size comparison.
