This is a fun addition to the base game. The sheep expansion is a favorite adding a 'push your luck' component to the game.

My personal favorite expansion in the Carcassonne franchise. The Shepard mechanic is a push your luck style strategy that is a lot of fun and easy to learn. The other new mechanics are fun, easy to learn, and make sense thematically.
