Ameristep Tripod Swivel Stool, Multicolor, One Size

First time i used it one of the legs became jammed and would not fold back for storage. I threw it out on the first hunt trip

It broke almost immediately and is cheap in construction.

Nice stool that seems to be well built and comfortable. Would have been nice if it came with instructions on how to retract the seat supports. Opened it up and couldn’t figure out how to close it-I had to look up a video to figure out how to close it. That is why I have it a 4 star rating instead of 5 stars.

I bought 2 of these four my daughter abs me and both were the same. A sturdy seat, but extremely difficult to use. The seat posts do not want to slide into their slots whatsoever. Once you get them slid into place you almost CANNOT slide the top posts back out for stowage. I hurt my fingers and thumbs every time. I think I pulled my shoulder blade out of place once. I have tried loosening the screws, and I have both lightly and aggressively banged the posts against trees from all angles trying to fold these things back up. All that being said, it is a very sturdy seat without much wobble and although it is very hard to swivel it is also quiet and fairly lightweight. I bought a 3rd one for my brother because it is very difficult to find these swivel seats with adjustable legs. That feature also works well on the seat. However I have really wanted to throw theses things as far as I could on a number of occasions.

Bought this as a birthday gift for my son. However when I presented it to him, we quickly discovered it did not rotate and suspect a defective swiveling device. I purchased a similar swiveling hunter stool several years ago and it rotates with no problems and is very useful while sitting in a blind.It could still be used as a fixed hunting stool however I specifically purchased it for the swiveling feature so I'll be returning it to Amazon as a defective product. Hopefully the next one I buy will operate as designed.On a side note about comfort. These tripod stools are not the most comfortable on your backside if sitting on them for an extended amount of time such as waiting for that perfect buck to show up. I've learned if you use it in conjunction with a good quality seat cushion it increases the comfort factor. While you'll probably still have to stand up from time to time and give you backside a "rest" it won't be as often with the cushion.And no, I'm not one of those "big ol'boys". I weigh 190 lbs, 5'-8" and have a 33" inch waistline.

Great product to go with my ground blind. The swivel feature makes it a must have for moving quietly and turning to face your target. Very quiet and light. I love it.

After unfolding it to sit on it will not fold back up without breaking it. Kind of disappointed with it.If you don't backpack and yiu have space then it's great to sit on in the blind.Used it for goose hunt and being able to swivel in the blind was very nice.Do t see it lasting to long though as the gooseneck in it seems a little cheap.
