The Busy Little Squirrel (Classic Board Books)

My 1 year old loves this book - there are so many animals covered - she loves looking at the cat, owl and frog. I love the stunning artwork, love the other hidden squirrels in the background. The verse could have been better - the bird says "sweet sweet" instead of tweet tweet (could be a typo). The ending is quite abrupt.

This is my new favorite fall book! The cute animals and pictures and the words are simple that my little 2 year old loves to read along "he was sooo busy!" A must for fall books!

Simple little book to share with toddlers

My baby absolutely loves this book. She started around 4 months and it is her favorite. She loves the illustrations and the simple and repetitive language. She is 5 months old now and likes to have this read to her multiple times in a row and is basically ready to dive into the pages. Highly recommend.

My daughter loves squirrels so I thought this book was perfect. Cute illustrations and story, my daughter likes it. Not sure why on earth the bird says “Sweet, sweet” instead of the typical “tweet, tweet”. I read as though it says the latter. Still cute though.

At this point in time, I seem to enjoy this book more than my grandson does. The illustrations are beautiful, and the story is cute, but he always wants to pass on it. I've found that sometimes a little time going by changes his attitude about certain books, and I have hope for this one. Until then, Grandma will enjoy it.

This is a really cute book and a quick read for a toddler who won’t sit still for long. We always read before bed but my 14-month-old gets fussy when the book is too wordy and long. This one is nice and short and he loves the pictures of the squirrel. He always giggles when I say “He was so busy!”

This is a very cute Fall book. My 18 mo loves it. I also love the illustrations and details like different types of bugs and animals in each page. There's alao a second squirrel working away in every scene but one has to really pay close attention to notice it. I think this book will be fun and interesting to my daughter for a long time.

My little boy just loves the squirrels in the park and when I got this book he was so excited and wants to read it several times a day. He is only 20 months, but this book takes a little bit of the park every where we go. Very nicely illustrated and an added bonus is there is a second small squirrel on every page (my boy noticed it!) which makes it fun to find every time. With London being so full of these wonderful creatures - I think every London toddler should have this book. Simple text, the squirrel sees different animals throughout the book. A great read.

Arrived quickly and in great condition. My three year old loves the story and the illustration - she particularly enjoyed watching what the squirrel in the background was doing. A nice way to explore seasons and woodland animals. My only gripe is that I thought squirrels buried things in the Autumn, but this book just shows the squirrel taking things back to his nest to store for the Winter. Also, we read that squirrels use their tails as a blanket to keep themselves warm when hibernating. It would have been nice if the illustrations included this.

Strong Board book

My 1 year old loves this book, always chuckles when I read the bit 'he was so busy'.Nicely illustrated, a lovely read.

Initially I was not very impressed by the book, but my two year old neice took to it straight away and was happily chiming in with "too busy" and requesting a re-read.
