Not hard to install.
Really nice unit. Not hard to install but the instructions could be a lot clearer. Great support over the phone. Answered all my questions.

Smartkey, not so smart instructions
This thing was pretty difficult to install. The instructions were ok but it gives you the impression that "one size fits all." This is not the case. Depending on make and model, some features just weren't made for your car. You may have to buy a separate bypass module to get by the security in your car(if your car has one)After a couple weeks and head banging I got most of the features working and gave up on the ones I didn't need.(Remote start most likely won't work on your Chevy impala if it has 2 ACC wires)For the price and hassle, it may be better to just get your local shop to install, but if you don't mind a DIY project or two, this could be right up your alley.

The product itself is pretty awesome. There are features no other alarm has
I had a local installer install this device. The installer did have trouble and took longer than expected, but this is most likely an installer issue and not the product itself. Make sure you have your installer cut the ACC (Accessory) wire from ignition. Mine forgot to do that. If I hadnt have noticed an hour later, my battery would have been drained. The product itself is pretty awesome. There are features no other alarm has. I've had the high end Viper before and decided to go with the EZCar because of the Engine Start button. You walk up and leave the car without ever having to use the remote. It does this all for you.I think the vendor told me I could upgrade the remote to 2 way for extra $100. I will prob do that eventually, just want to make sure everything is good after a while. I've only had this for 2 days and so far very impressed. At $200, its a real bargin.

ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT WORK and NOT DEPENDABLE
Had a very well known professional shop installed this item. Push start would work speratically and then go haywire. It worked ok fo 2 weeks and then all of the sudden it would no longer start. I was stuck in shopping center parking lot and my SUV would no longer start and the lights would blink crazy around the push start button and you would hear the click sound as if it wanted to start. My vehicle is a 2016 Toyota 4Runner.I ended up having to pay $162 to tow my SUV back to the shop and had them completely remove everything that was installed. There was no visible reason to why it no longer worked as I did nothing different to my SUV. I really wanted this to work and read the other bad reviews about this product and was just hoping it would work. I have lost several hundreds of dollars ($400+) on labor to install this, uninstall this, and now most recently having to tow my SUV. I have attached the photo to show proof that I had to have my SUV towed. Nice idea but really bad execution of the product.

awesome. I love never having to take my keys ...
awesome. I love never having to take my keys out. walk up and it unlocks, walk away it locks. simple. button looks factory. best decision I made. I hate that stupid knock sensor though. it has to be connected for the system to work.

Terrible manual and technical support
I did not purchase this product, but a friend of mine with a 2008 Charger did and had me try to install it. I'm a MECP certified professional and have been working with mobile electronics for 8+ years. I have experience with Directed remote start systems ( Viper, Clifford, Avital, etc.), Audiovox, Compustar and other very well known manufacturers of these types of systems. This product is not meant for vehicles with immobilizer systems. The installation manual was poorly translated and technical support also had trouble communicating with me in fluent English. If you're going to be installing a system that is using vital circuits of a vehicle (ignition, accessory, high and low speed can, etc.), then I would recommend you buy from a well known manufacturer of these devices like the ones I mentioned above. As a reference for those that are going to attempt to try this product anyway, I used a directed DBALL2 for an immobilizer bypass and it would program just fine.
