desertcart.co.jp: The Ultimate Fifth Grade Math Workbook: Topics Include Multiplication, Division, Decimals, Fractions, Geometry, Measurement, and More! (IXL Ultimate Workbooks) : Ixl Learning: Foreign Language Books Review: Although I like the exercises in the book, I wish there were more exercises for each topic. Each skill has a corresponding ID that you should be able to find if you have an IXL membership, which we do. All the ID's in this book are wrong or do not exist. Review: We love IXL books for our homeschool because they don't have all the extra language and a ton of riff raff which my kids find boring and long. This is to the point with short explanations. There is not a lot of lesson, which I don't mind because I can easily teach it to them in a way they best learn and understand. They prefer these streamlined books over typical math curriculum as it feels less overwhelming. So if you have a child that hates math because it takes too long and is confusing, give this a try if you feel confident in your ability to explain it too them when they have questions

OK, so I’m a college educated (social sciences) adult. I find my math skills getting rusty. Can I multiply mixed fractions or even add and subtract them any more. Why would I want to - you’d be surprised how often it comes up in dealing with best use of yard goods, or even lumber. And, with grandkids learning more math at a younger age than we did, I did NOT want to be found to be unable to help with grammar school homework. I’m finding working thought the lessons and problems enjoyable. I skip a lot, because I can tell when “I GET IT” and move on.

PROS: Simple, easy to follow instructions and explanations. Logical progression through the concepts. Skills are broken down into simple steps. Simple, aesthetically pleasing pages. CONS: No table of contents or index so you have to just guess where things are or flip until you find what you're looking for. Don't buy used because they'll say it's in good condition then most of the pages will be marked up.
