It's not really meant for backpacking, but if you want a bag for some snacks, socks, extra layers of clothes, and water for a day-long hike this should do the job.At a glance it looks like a larger backpacking with an integrated frame, but it's not. It's a lightweight bag that can be rolled up and stuffed into a pouch in the top (at that point you can use it as a small uncomfortable pillow). It has about the same capacity as a typical school backpack, but is made of lightweight fabric.There is a large elastic pocket against the back of the main compartment that I might use to put a water pouch. None of the pouches are padded, so I would recommend throwing a laptop in a padded case before packing it in this.

Bought this to see how practical it would be as an emergency "go bag" or as a travel bag. Its great advantage is that it is well designed overall for comfort and has the right types of compartments and strapping, and most importantly, it is extremely lightweight. I have not actually used it however (hence 4 stars). But I will be using it to build out a go bag. The photo is a little deceiving in that the bag is completely filled out and looks a little larger than it really is. So check the dimensions to get a more accurate sense of its size. But emergency bags should not always be big.

This packaged waterproof hiking bag has good quality and waterproof effect. It is very light and comfortable to carry back, with large space and complete functions. When it is not used, it is very small to pack up. It is very suitable for traveling, mountain climbing and camping.

This backpack was purchased for an up-coming trip so I can't give a full review but I can say that the backpack seems very durable and I'm looking forward to using it throughout my travels. The only concern at present is the fact that there is no zipper for opening and closing. I would prefer this method rather than having a drawstring to use. I will follow up this review after I return from my travels.

Great for day hike!This is great backpack on one light hiking trip, as it is ultra lightweight and compact. It has a pocket at its top section and I can put entire backpack in and store.The material is waterproof,it protects my clothes in light rain. Color is great and my kids like it.However,it's not the heavy-duty kind you can load for multi-day hiking.

Served the purpose I needed. Was nice and compact and easily fit in a side pocket of a larger backpack. Easily opened up when needed, but was hesitant to load heavily. Seems a big flimsy and would not try to carry more than 25 lbs in the pack. As long as you only need to carry 25 lbs or less I would highly recommend.

put in suitcase in case you need a packback that folds up into a small package and fits in suitcase. I ordered 3 of them.

Like the bag but the stitching broke next to the zipper so not easy to close
