Smith CoronaCASSETTE LIFT OFF CORRECTING CASSETTE, 1/EA ( 21060 )

Put this new correcting cassette in my 1994 Smith Corona typewriter and it now works perfectly.

This is correct tape for my typewriter. It is generally reliable but occasionally twists but can easily be fixer

As with any typewriter, you often make mistakes and need to correct them. A computer would be ideal to do this with , but sometimes a computer just will not do what I want it to do. And that is where a typewriter and correctible ribbon comes into play. These items are getting harder and harder to find so I usually buy more than one when I purchased them. They are easy to install and the cost is not prohibitive. And there is something about sitting in front of a typewriter and writing. I have been using a typewriter for about 60 years but still have a computer, also. And there is something about a typewriter with a correctible ribbon on it. As long as correctible ribbons are available, I will continue to use a typewriter. But it is getting harder and harder to find this type of ribbon. I purhased more than one when I bought them. The ribbon works for me and will continue to use them. Oh, they are not hard to install...just remove the one that is not working, dispose of properly, and replace with a new one. Simple.

My product arrived and it was broken in half. I returned it and they have a new one out to me already. That is great service. Im just hoping this one won't be broken

It fits with my electronic Smith Corona Type Writer and I don't have any problem. So, I could say that I will re-order again next time if I'm going to need one again. Thank you.

Fast and in good shape

Seems to do the job, but you do have to match the Smith Corona correction ribbon to the Smith Corona print ribbon.I found that the 21000 type ribbon would work by itself, but you could not get another vender correction ribbon to fit with the Smith Corona.I could not snap the type ribbon on top of the correction ribbon of another vender.

I purchased this as it was a genuine smith corona part. However although it looked identical to the one I was replacing.. it did not work.. it did not erase and just kept bunching up and tangling in the ribbon also. It was installed correctly I mean how hard can it be to click into place ? but after an hour or so fiddling with it I just threw it in the bin.
