Too costly as compared to quality of production
It is very cost and doesn't work as good as it has shown on different sites. Good texture only, not production. Maestro Rockwool works better than this and also have a better production.

easily crumbles... not impressed
i purchased these for my tower garden in an attempt to curb the high shipping costs from juice plus. i HATE super high shipping so thought i'd give these a try. i grow fruits and veggies indoors.these came well packaged and on time but the first thing i noticed when i went to use them is that they don't separate evenly and often times rip into the adjacent cube rendering it unusable. but that's okay bc there's a bajillion of them, right? well, i normally soak my cubes for at least 30 minutes before planting seeds and these cubes were almost falling to pieces after that time. i've left my juice plus cubes to soak for a couple hours occasionally and never experienced this. i planted seeds in five of these cubes in the same manner as my others: three did not germinate and the two that did were weak plants and didn't make it to maturity.i gave these two stars under hope that others use these for something else successfully. i'm trying to remain objective and just review the product on it's own but my experience in this case is that brand does matter. juice plus also advertises growth promoting minerals in their cubes so not sure how true that is but my plants do flourish more so.for indoor gardening purposes, i do not recommend these.

Beats everything else i have used in aeroponic tower
Probably my 4th year of running all sorts of plant in an aeroponic indoor planter. In the past i have used all sort of different media and always had issues; expanded clay pellets the roots would take too long to grip right and plants would fall over, coco medium and other organic media always came with fungus issues, etc. This year i have no issues and the plants seem much happier and healthier than in previous years. Would highly recommend. Also in my case i ended up tearing up the little cubes and simply adding the material around the roots. Be sure to wear a mask and gloves when you do this to not breath or get the fibers in your skin as can get itchy.

These are GUARANTEED SUCCESS!!! πΈπΈπΈ
So I went outside the usual found a cheaper rockwool cubes and purchased them instead of this brand I've always used. Well they sucked big time fell apart when pre-soaked and that's what I get. Now these here I love and ha e never let me down by collapsing in on itself and EVERYTHING I ha e ever put in this brands cubes has ALWAYS established a very healthy root network system. πͺπͺππππ Never again will I stray from the path.

Soft Rockwool 33 cubes not 45 out of original packaging
Normally when rockwool is old or stored improperly it becomes soft. Id say about half of the order was soft which is impossible to clone plants. Also it was out of the original packaging which could have damaged the cubes as well. still could use the other half no problem. MISSING 12 CUBES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rockwool is easy to use (just make sure to get the pH right.)
1 1/2 inch peat pellets are going into some small plant starter containers along with some 1 1/2 " Rockwool cubes and Miracle Grow Moisture Control potting mix in the same type of container as a test to see which medium works the best. The exact same seeds are going into an AeroGarden. I like the Rockwool cubes because they are neat to work with, and assume that I'll have a good result, that is, the seeds will germinate. What I'm most interested in is which medium germinates the fastest. I've never used Rockwool before, but I hope that once they sprout I can put them into a Kratky hydroponic growing container and harvest indoors as I do with my AeroGarden. What grows in the peat pellets and potting mix will move outside to the garden. So I may make an update in another month. However, since I've only used these Rockwool cubes so far to plant the seeds, I am happy with the purchase.
