Aidina Smart Plug, WiFi Enabled Mini Smart Switch Compatible with Amazon Alexa & Google Home, No Hub Required (2 Pack)

Does what it's supposed to, and for a cheaper price than most WiFi enabled smart plugs. I have a dozen or so from different manufacturers, some with different features. Had both of these on and connected to my supporting network apps in 2 or 3 minutes. I use voice controls on both Alexa and Google. They are updated / authorized to share information with Smart Life aka Tuya Smart Life, among others. I think people get confused about which apps support these devices because there are many that include Smart Life in the name. I think the important thing that some people forget is that in order for most WiFi plugs and certain other smart devices to work properly, they need a 2.4Ghz connection. A lot of people do not realize that they may have this kind of connection limited to their Guest Network even though it is part of their home WiFi network, some providers designate 2.4Ghz connections restricted to a person's Guest Network, which would need to be enabled on, and also needs to be the selected network to connect a 2.4Ghz device to.Anyway, that may be the case for some people depending on the internet service provider. Worth noting that these very well priced sockets do NOT have surge protection built in, this is most important if you have tech electronics, and least important if you use this socket to plug into a surge protector you already have. They may or may not be shaped well for your purposes, but I have had more slim and more compact designs than these, but the dimensions are listed so no surprise. All in all I wish I could find the mismarked pricing for WiFi smart sockets I once got for about $1 each, but I'll take what I can get as long as they work and are better priced than 99% of the others. For the price, these win for now.

The cord for our Christmas tree lights connects to an outlet in a bookcase behind the tree, in a difficult place to get to, especially as gifts go under the tree. My wife and I were thinking out loud one night - if only there was a product that allowed us to control the lights with a remote control. A quick search on Amazon led me to this little gem. It is EXACTLY what we needed! I set the app up on both my wife's iPhone and my Galaxy Note and both of us can control the lights with a simple screen tap. I then activated the Tuya feature on my Google Hub, and it quickly found the device. I connected with a touch and renamed the device 'Christmas Tree Lights' and now all I have to do is say "Hey Google, turn the Christmas Tree Lights On" and it happens...pure magic!Note - we have a Google Wifi and connected the device using the 2.4G guest network. Works like a charm!

I've bought a few of these from different companies but this company is the ONLY one I've kept and use daily.You set it up using their APP and it works great but if your like me you bought/considering buying it because it's compatible with Alexa. It works flawlessly with Alexa. I have about ten of these through out my house and I never had any issue with them. I use them for my reptiles, my lights and other devices. The only problem I've had is when I ordered more one did not work but the seller replaced it that day and I'm returning it today. It took two days and I just got my replacement today and both work perfect. Definitely one of my favorite smart devices and something I can't imagine living without.

A perfect device for my need.....was always guilty of overcharging laptop or mobile overnightIt is very easy to setup...just download the app and follow simple instructions. I do not have alexa or google home... the device own app is great, can easily set the timer, could be controlled over voice too. This device could be controlled not only using the common wifi but using internet from anywhere.....that is neat.

Works great! This is my second purchase. The first I used mainly to turn on/off my 3d printer when I am at work and a print gets done. I love how it has a timer feature as well. I have purchased more to control Christmas lights over the holidays. Overall, this is a great product!

A pair of controls with Alexa and Google support for this price can't be beaten. I like the side outlet design so it won't interfere with some connections and the integrated application with scheduling support. Highly recommended.

Tremendously poor/inadequate instructions. Details and limitations NEED to be prominently displayed on Amazon product details.Worked fine until I changed WiFi networks. I believe it’s because new service is 5g and the plugs need 2.4g.Abismal customer support.They’re inexpensive so perhaps worth a shot if you don’t mind returning in the event the device won’t connect (as seems to be the case for many of us.)Will likely be returning.

Was very skeptical buying something like this at first since I always have bad luck with technology. To my surprise, right out of the box and maybe 1min to set up, these smart plugs really impressed me. From having a set time to turn on/off (for Xmas lights), to being able to turn said lights on/off from miles away via the app. The also have a button on the side of the plug in case you actually have to get up from the couch and turn on connected appliance. Will definitely end up using them now for another appliance and will probably buy more.
