Perfect function and beautiful presentation.
Last Winter I tried Uco brand matches to start fires in our wood stove. It seemed like every other one broke in half when attempting to strike. The box was ugly and my wife insisted they live in a kitchen cabinet. This season I decided to take a chance on Kaeser's matches. I love these! They strike very reliably and I've only had 2 break in half this wood burning season. The box is perfect too. Nice and pretty. Now the wife is fine letting these matches live on the chalk board 3' from the stove out in the open. This is a well thought out product. Bicycle inner tube cut-off for a tough secure rubberband (handy when the 1 year old takes off with the box). Cool little business card included too. Great product!

Part of my EDC stuff.
Always have a some in my edc bag, well....these matches are one of the ways that I can start a fire with, that's in me edc bag. Have also in a bug out bag. Lighting candles, bbq in the backyard--no gas bbq for us--my kids, like my wife, cannot stomach bbq with propane. Another box in my toolbox at work. For the Men's bathroom, because working with a group of aircraft mechanics....walking into the bathroom *AHEM*is hazardous to your health, especially the olfactory system. No matter how much deodorizer the previous user sprayed. P U!!!

but that apart is a very good match.
actually doesn't strikes "almost everywhere", but that apart is a very good match.

Very nice product - poor strike strip placement
The strike strip is located on the underside of the cover - this makes it cumbersome to strike the match while holding the rest of the matches. it would be much easier if the strike strip was on the bottom of the whole tin (allowing you to close the matches, turn it over and then spike the match. It is also safer since it closes off the rest of the matches from an open match strike).Other than that - I like the matches and the tin.

Pretty tin, matches are good
Pretty tin, matches are fine. I bought it for the tin. One reviewer noted that they do not really "strike almost anywhere," and I hope that's right because that part sounds dangerous. I just wanted regular, safe matches in a tin that matches my bathroom.

Decent Matches. Good Box.
Decent matches. Years ago the striking area on the match head was larger but they still work. Nice tin box too.

Flimsy, need a Bic to light the match
Should be called strike no-where matches, worn the striker from the bottom of the tin in the first couple of dozen. Takes multiple swipes if it lights at all. Flimsy some break, some heads have barely any sulfur .I use these to light jar candles. Use a Bic to light the match and then stick the match in the jar. These are certainly not the strike anywhere kitchen matches that really would strike anywhere.
