This DVD contains the full Summerslam Pay-Per-View from 2011 on one disc. There's only one bonus feature and that's an interview with Alberto Del Rio. 2011 was one of the worst years ever for WWE commentary and unfortunately that affects this show. It's not a reason to not watch the event but it does get very annoying.Rey Mysterio, John Morrison and Kofi Kingston vs. R-Truth, The Miz and Alberto Del Rio - This was a good fast paced opener that combined a bunch of rivalries. It was full of really good action with an exciting closing stretch. It wasn't anything too memorable but it worked really well as an entertaining match to kick off the show.Sheamus vs. Mark Henry - This was a pretty good match with the two just beating the hell out of each other. Obviously there wasn't going to be any great technical wrestling or anything but there didn't need to be. It was a much better match than I expected it to be and while the finish wasn't decisive it worked well enough for the match. A surprisingly entertaining match.Kelly Kelly vs. Beth Phoenix - Before this next match we get a terrible musical performance by Cleveland Junior. Definitely worth skipping over. This match was for the WWE "Divas" Championship. It wasn't too bad when you consider that it involves Kelly Kelly. Her offence was poor as usual but it wasn't an unwatchable match. It was the best it could have been and while it wasn't that good it didn't harm the show.Daniel Bryan vs. Wade Barrett- This was a very good back and forth match. Bryan tried to get a submission victory while Barrett tried to beat Bryan down enough to get the pin. There were plenty of counters, some dramatic submission attempts and a good finish(even if I do disagree with the result). It was probably the second best singles match of Wade Barrett's WWE career.Christian vs. Randy Orton - Christian was defending the World Heavyweight Championship in this No Holds Barred match. There's an entertaining promo before the match where Christian brings out Edge, expecting him to be in his corner, but Edge just puts Christian down for his actions of late and leaves. It was good to see Edge again. These two had a load of matches together in 2011 and all of them were pretty great. This might have been the best one though, they had such good chemistry and a match full of non-stop action. Randy Orton got a large amount of the offence in but without making Christian look weak or like he didn't belong there. They took advantage of the stipulation without overdoing it and they had a good finish. It was another great match.CM Punk vs. John Cena - After CM Punk won the WWE Championship at Money in the Bank and left the company, John Cena won a new WWE Championship. CM Punk had now returned and this was to find the Undisputed WWE Champion. Triple H was the guest referee. It's a great back and forth match with so many counters and convincing near falls. Triple H didn't play much of a role other than refusing to let the match end on a count-out. The action was great and the finish was good although it could have done without the aftermath. Almost as good as their match from Money in the Bank, it wasn't quite there but it was still a great main event.This was a very good event, mainly due to the two world championship matches but considering they make up over half of the action on the show that's not a complaint. The rest of the matches are all decent to very good so are also worth watching but the World and WWE Championship matches are a huge highlight and the reason that you should consider this DVD.
