Review: Beeswax for Hair – A Perfect Choice for Dreadlocks
If you have dreadlocks or are considering starting them, beeswax is a fantastic product that can help maintain and shape your locs beautifully. After trying different products, I can confidently say that high-quality beeswax is one of the best solutions for keeping dreads neat, well-defined, and moisturized.Locking and HoldOne of the biggest challenges when maintaining dreadlocks is keeping them in place, especially in the early stages. Beeswax offers excellent hold without making the hair feel overly stiff or crunchy. It helps bind loose hairs together, making the locking process smoother and faster. Whether you are palm rolling or twisting, the wax provides just the right amount of grip to keep your dreads looking well-formed and tidy.Moisture and ProtectionUnlike many gels or synthetic waxes that dry out the hair, natural beeswax helps retain moisture. It acts as a sealant, preventing dryness and breakage—two common issues for people with dreadlocks. Because it is rich in natural oils, it keeps the hair soft and prevents frizz, which is essential for maintaining healthy locs in the long run.Natural and Chemical-FreeMany hair products contain harsh chemicals that can cause buildup or irritate the scalp. Pure beeswax, on the other hand, is a natural alternative that nourishes the hair without unwanted additives. It’s an ideal choice for those who prefer organic hair care solutions and want to avoid residue-heavy products.Long-Lasting and Weather-ResistantOne of the standout qualities of beeswax is its long-lasting effect. It doesn’t easily wash out with water, meaning it holds up well in humid or rainy conditions. This is a big plus for people who live in areas with fluctuating weather or who lead an active lifestyle. However, because of its staying power, it’s important to apply it sparingly to avoid excessive buildup. How to Use It for DreadlocksTo get the best results, take a small amount of beeswax and warm it between your fingers before applying it to damp or dry hair. Gently twist or palm-roll your dreads to shape them. A little goes a long way, so it’s best to start with a small amount and add more if needed. To remove excess wax buildup over time, using a residue-free shampoo or an apple cider vinegar rinse can help keep your dreads clean and fresh.Final VerdictOverall, beeswax is a top-tier product for anyone with dreadlocks. It provides excellent hold, moisture retention, and natural protection while being free from harmful chemicals. If you want to keep your locs neat, well-defined, and healthy, this is a must-have in your hair care routine. Just be mindful of using it in moderation to prevent buildup, and you’ll enjoy the many benefits it has to offer!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) Highly recommended!

Its clean and last
The product is good if you just want a little body or hold , its not oily at all.Its thick and not thin cream that wears off in few hours. Im not concerned about the smell which is the same as any the old school hair stuff for slick back style or spike.i like it.its nothing like Vaseline ,if you want smell add something to it.my order supposedly got lost in mail because its through a 3rd party vendor or it was stolen.i got a refund , but i seen this stuff at Family Dollar one time , and bought it. dont know about the black can , mine was the yellow.

It is mainly petroleum!
It is made in the USA, the "100% pure Australian Beeswax" is just not true. It mainly made of petroleum. I use it to lubricate my leather working gloves. It is relative cheap comparing to other leather conditioners. This is the first time I used it and it seems to be ok. We will see how good it is.I give it three stars due to its fake claimed!
