Kenny's thoughts
I bought this book as the recommended core text for the Advanced Nurse course i started. It does what it says on the tin. Guides you throught the process of examination in detail by the hand. Pictorial process good. Thought the supporting DVD was excellent. Could have shown a little more patient interaction. Obviously Doctors. Due to the emotionles examination. I don't know any patient that sits so still and so quiet. I will let you know if it helped me pass at the end of the year. Well worth buying. Even just for future reference.

Fantastic book
Every medical student about to do clinical rotations must have this book. The book is literally the "clinical Bible" for med students. Other than getting actual hands-on-experience, reading this book is the next best thing needed to do well in your rotations.

LIKE NEW - IT IS NEW
The book i received had never been opened or used, but the lower portion of the upper black section of the cover had been cut out (not all the way through). Separate from that it was obviously not in its original packaging, but for a "used" book bought "like new" i am very pleased.

Clear, concise and informative
This book was exactly what I needed to refresh my clinical skills after taking a year off after medical school. It is easy to read and has good illustrations. The DVD included is a great bonus.

Bought at the Begining of my Clinical Years
Literally don't think I've picked it up since first looking at it. Goes into too much detail then required on the clinical examinations and it's often just easier to run through the exams with your friends/ housemates or hop onto youtube.Maybe if you're really rusty/going for the all out distinction (knowing like a million cause of clubbing) then I'd say it's a bit pointless.Does have an interactive CD however can't review that as I haven't used it.

Perfect book for any clinical examiner
This book is great for any clinical examiner. It takes you through each system in a methodical manner and not so in depth that it becomes mind boggling. I found it very easy. Some examiners will use all this book, some will use some or certain systems. As a paramedic there was a lot of information that will be useful and good to know but I may not have chance to use in the pre-hospital setting but saying that I found it a lot better than my original training and has given me a much better knowledge base. I don't intend on selling it on as it is one of those books that you can use for the whole of your career. A great reference book.
