This Mjolnir, or Thorās Hammer, is an ancient Norse symbol, a stylized representation of the legendary magical weapon of the Norse God Thor. āMjolnirā means ālightning,ā and symbolized the Godās power over Thunder and Lightning. The Hammer Mjolnir was said to always return after it had been thrown. The Thorās Hammer amulet was worn frequently by believers as a symbol of protection- a practice so popular it continued even after most of the Norse population had converted to Christianity. In modern times, is often used as an emblem of recognition for members of the Asatru faith, and as a symbol of Norse heritage.

Pewter is the way to go with necklaces that you plan on wearing often. Very durable. Dont have to worry about it breaking apart from the loop at the top to string it. I dont wear much jewelry because I'm too active and it ends up breaking and I lose it forever in the woods or someplace I'll never find it again. Only thing I didnt like was the actual rubbery necklace that the pendant goes on. It stays in the shape its been packaged in. Luckily I already had some faux swede string from walmart that is great for being able to adjust it to where you want each day. They have a variety of colors to choose from and it holds up well also.

This necklace is great! Doesn't look like it's going to break anytime soon so that's good! The necklace cord is blended a little weirdly but I'm sure I can straighten it out. Worn all the time!
Got this as a gift for my daughter when school started and she wears it all the time- even in her school pic. Its very durable and pretty.

Impressive quality
For the price I expected this to be MUCH lower quality. Instead it was very impressive, smooth, heavy and solid. Excellent work for the price, especially compared to the badly mass-produced pieces you see too often.
