Great starter chest rig for fishing.
I bought this chest rig to do some stream fishing. I didn't want to spend a fortune to try something new out, so I replaced the bottom clips so they would hook into my camelbak and used the carabiner style clips up top.The quality of the pack exceeded my expectations both from a material and zipper standpoint. The loops on the bottom are fairly useless, but don't detract from anything. I can fit a couple of Plano boxes in the back section and one in the front, giving myself plenty of lures to play around with.I would recommend and am very happy with my purchase.

Good bag that probably works well with their system
Seems to be an OK bag. Somewhat disappointed on the build quality. Fabrics don’t seem as robust.

Awesome chest pack that works with Mad Water pack or ...
Awesome chest pack that works with Mad Water pack or other packs with additional clips. Holds a 7" tablet nicely when fly foam removed. I've used it it both for field work and for fishing over the last 2 months and have been very happy with it.

I had been searching for a chest pack to use ...
I had been searching for a chest pack to use for backpacking and stumbled on this. It was exactly what I was looking for. The attachment points matched up with my backpack and was big enough for everything I wanted to put in it, with some extra space left over.

Not a Stand-Alone Chest Pack
I am giving this chest pack a poor review mainly because the advertisement does not make clear that IT IS NOT DESIGNED TO BE USED BY ITSELF. Apparently, you are supposed to buy some other Mad River products in order to be able to use this chest pack (either the Action Sport Pack or the Shoulder Harness). So, standing alone, the product is rather useless. Fortunately, my existing backpack had enough strategically placed D rings and clips that was able to sort of jury rig it well enough to function (at least in my living room; I haven't fished with it yet).The pack itself seems useful enough (although one of the non-adjustable clip straps is slightly shorter than the other), assuming you can actually wear it.

Modify to suit your carry preference.
Great product, great price, good quality construction. If you do not buy the accompanying products you will need to work out how to carry it. But the carry options are many. If you add a few additional snap buckles and some webbing those options increase substantially.

Did not realize that I had to buy other products(shoulder strap) before I could use it. Very disappointing.

product did not come with bottom hooks on the bottom straps... you do not get all you see. BOO!
