Has anyone tried taking the leather logo patch of the front? Is the material discolored under?

I took the leather Gootium patch off with a very pointed steak knife. There are holes from the threads that were there but the material self repairs and I dont even see it now.

Is this a very light bag? I can't carry anything heavy. Thx

It is a fairly light weight bag keeping in mind it is made out of canvas. Depending on how much stuff you put in the bag it will get heaver.

Yes, this is a strong canvas bag, not heavy as in weight, but very durable. And yes, it will easily hold a book. We carry a foam padded case with my iPad inside AND a Bible, not problem. Love this bag.
