I Am Sofa King Stew Ped Hot Sauce

Not as hotter than any other standard habanero hot sauce but it is a good hot sauce. I don't like hot sauces with too much sugar or vinegar; this one strikes a good balance. But "supid ass" hot it is not. I was given this by a co-worker who knows I like habanero sauces. Marie Sharpe's remains my favorite.

One of my coworkers brought this sauce in because of its funny label. I was hesitant to try it because...lets be honest, usually with hot sauces you can tell by the label if you're gonna have a bad time. The heat I rate about a 6. A good deal hotter than louisiana brand hot sauce, and only marginally hotter than tabasco. I'm traditionally a louisiana hot sauce fan. Loved it for years. I can officially say that this sauce's taste has beaten it out. Excellent vinegar hit that's just right, and the flavor is sharply more acidic and more leaning towards a citrusy/fruity start mixed with a tabasco pepper base finish. Overall a great hot sauce. Like the other reviewer has stated, it's not the hottest hot sauce you can try. The heat does build, but it's more a blunt heat and not the "Kill me now" kind of heat of other sauces I've tried. I like things hot, but not trinidad morgua scorpion hot. This habanero sauce is just right. I'll be buying more when this bottle is gone and judging by how fast I've been consuming it....shouldn't be too much longer.TLDR; 6 Hot scale, vinegary flavor, acidic. Fruity. Tabasco base. Try it.

This sauce has a great name and reasonably good flavor, but it's really not that hot. This is one of the sauces I use on days when I have a soccer match in the evening and don't want to use a real hot sauce. I don't think it's any hotter than regular Tabasco and it's definitely not as hot as Habanero Tabasco. We have a few sauces that are much hotter than this.We got burned for about twice the Amazon price for Sofa King, in a hot sauce shop in St. Augustine. So if I feel "Sofa King Stupid" it's becuase of that and not because it burned my mouth.
