Great tool for students and teachers

All around awesome- for personal practice and class preparation. Has the majority of poses and listed Sanskrit and English term. Missing a couple key poses; wish it had more write in blank cards.

Product could use improvement. All in all a good tool.

I love the cards and the concept. It would be better if you could see the actual floor plane that the poses are done on. If glancing at a distance it's hard to tell. Also by putting the poses on both sides of the cards, like they are now, you can't use them all as you might wish. Maybe I'll have to buy another deck and mark each card as side A and side B so that I can mix the poses just as I want. Still I'd rather pay more and get one sided cards, or cards that only have the text on the back and the pose on the front. Then you could use them to both sequence and as flash cards to memorize the sanskrit names. Or perhaps more about chakras, etc. on the back instead of a pose that you also want to use.I would also give a regular box. Instead these come as a box like UNO cards do where you have to split the deck to get it in. It makes it tricky and cumbersome to put the cards away.Another thing I love is that they give you some multiples. So you can use them in a sequence more than once, makes me wish they did it for all of the poses and not just a few they think should be repeated.Bottom line is they'd be 5 stars if more like above mentioned. I'll probably just get 1-2 more sets and organize them so i can use them as one-sided and multiples.

Great example

This is a beautiful & very useful tool for building sequences, maintaining a home practice or an inspiring motivator to stay committed to ones daily practice. Well done!

Blanks, Duplicates & No Info - Just Pictures

Nice pictures but that's all it is, pictures of poses and so many are duplicates. Each card is a picture of the finished posture with the Sanskrit and English name on the bottom of the card. A total of 100 cards of which approximately 5 cards are the intro (example: title & ISBN, and how to use the cards), a few BLANK so-called "Wild Cards", and a bunch of duplicates. There are no instructions whatsoever. At best, they may be used to learn the names of some postures. This was a total disappointment.

I was so disappointed. There are so many cards that are the same. There were 10 of the same Vinyasa cards. You have got to be kidding. There is no rhyme or reason for that except to pad the deck. I feel so cheated. The right and left side of the poses were placed on different cards. Why didn't they put it on the same card front and back, instead of a different pose. I don't think the format was well thought out. Appreciate the Sanskrit and English names on the card. Wish the Sanskrit pronunciation was included, because there was space for that. Good concept but needs revision. 100 cards but way less than 100 poses. That, in my view, was an intentional and very deceptive marketing strategy. They need to reflect on the essence of yoga. A look at the eight limbs of yoga would hopefully be helpful to them.

These cards are a practical purchase for anyone looking to deepen their understanding of yoga, by spending more time in the planning process. I do wish, though, that they were one sided. Often times, there are poses that I want to use on both sides. It is difficult to remember or find an opportune place to stop and flip the card.

Great For Visual Learners!!!

The cards in the deck are nicely presented in greyscale. They feature the Sanskrit name as well as the translation. As a newish yogi, I like that I can visualize my practice using this deck. After I arrange the asanas the way I like, I photocopy my plan with 8 cards to a page. My whole practice fits on two double sided pages or less. No more trying to remember which pose is Warrior 2 or the correct asana sequence for Sun Salutation (Sun Salute A or B in this deck). It's also just plain fun to look through the cards and think "someday I'm going to be able to do a Salamba Sarvangasana".

A fun, accessible, portable lesson plan for yoga teachers

This deck of cards proved to be very accessible and portable for an on-the-go yoga teacher such as myself. I found the "How to use the deck" suggestions on how to use the cards very helpful in building a sequence with an anatomical focus. Since it was a deck of cards, it was fun laying a bunch of them out on the table, switching and changing them, making the experience an enjoyable and interactive way to prepare to teach a class. In the world of advanced technology, it's been refreshing to take a break from a tablet, Smartphone or laptop screen to use this deck as flash cards to review the Sanskrit names of each yoga pose.

Bof

Un peu déçue car ce sont des cartes de pt'etit gorlzt fan d'un étui bien peu pratique. Les postures sont nommées mais pas détaillées.

Baller yogis should acquire

I'm a new yogi and these cards are great for putting together classes. And they're super cost effective.

Muy buen apoyo para yoguis.

Es muy útil para la auto práctica, explica muy bien las posturas y es fácil de llevar de viaje. Lo recomendaría para todos los niveles de practicantes.

Great idea and I was looking forward to themArrived late, and when looking through them I noticed that the Sanskrit for the dolphin pose card was incorrect. Not sure about the others but a worry as I wanted to use these as reference too.
