I used this hydration bladder on a hiking trip to the desert. It held the water and kept it cool. However, when I took the hose apart to clean it, I found out that the bite valve is made of soft rubber and will not go back on the hose! Once you take it off to clean it, that's it. It will never go back on again. I tried forcing it, but it's such soft rubber that it won't go back on. And, the bite valve rubber piece sits inside the bite valve cover, which makes it impossible to reinstall it. I could probably get the bite valve itself back on, but the cover will never go back on since it won't fit over the bite valve! Not sure if this is just a bad design or if you are not meant to take it apart to clean it. With all others I have owned, you can take them apart to clean the hose and bite valve.

Great value, all elements of the hydration system and the maintenance kit are of good quality and delivered at a very reasonable price. I bought this specifically to mount on seat back of a recumbent trike. After two 5 mile test rides, I have no complaints. At first I was disappointed that there was not a retention loop for the bladder on the inside of the reservoir sleeve but it turns out that the sleeve is sized such that the bladder is well supported and does not slump in the sleeve. The dust cover for the bite value is very lightly retained by a click groove and would very likely come loose in a back packing application, however this is an easy to replace item if it is really a problem. The versatility of not having a dedicated pack is a big plus, I can take and mount this sleeve for a broad variety of applications without requiring a lot of space.

Good quality reservoir, been using it for few weeks now and I can say it really helps me out throughout the day. I keep it in my backpack and use the clips it comes with and if I need to I could put the clips on a different backpack so that part is really neat. My recommendation to others is if you plan to carry it around in your backpack make sure you determine what you are going to for. Since I carry my backpack all day and do exercise I fill it up all the way but if I don't plan on doing too much one I just fill up to like 1.5 ~ 2 liters. Having it completely full will add a very noticeable amount of weight to your backpack (if you put it in one). It's great for what it is and I personally will keep using it daily.

This is a solid system. Everything breaks down for very easy cleaning. The cleaning kit is perfect for the system. The insulation bag is solid and keeps the water cold extremely well and keeps the condensation out of the backpack I carry it in ( Vertx Gambit Gen 2, which it works perfectly with). My only complaints are minor. I would like a larger diameter hose, and I prefer a bite valve similar to the Blackhawk! branded ones, with a solid internal valve instead of the soft rubber one on this.Long story short, I like this. It has everything it needs. Solid product.

I LOVED that the cleaning aspect came along too..I mean makes it last longer. The cooler bag really helped to keep it cold so long! The shut off valve prevented wasting precious water. We used it to hike havasupi falls and the amount be was perfect. The only issue is on one the bite valve fell off and we weren't able to put back on. Other wise would have been 5 stars No doubt!

Years ago I had a CamelBak hydration bladder and this one is much better. I like that it comes with an insulated pouch, a cleaning kit, and that it has a shut-off valve. It slips neatly into my backpack and the clips keep the mouthpiece where I want it. I read some reviews that complained about leaks. Mine does not leak at all. I wonder if those people aren’t seating the tube firmly in the locking receptacles? I almost bought another brand from REI for over $100 more but thought I would give this one a try. I’m so impressed with it that I’m ordering another one for my wife.

Good bladder, we have a few 1.5 and 2 liter bladders, so it was nice to grab a 3 liter. Mouthpiece is great, no leaking like one of my others. I grabbed this combo for the clips mainly, which work great with my "tactical" pack that has nylon straps. Hanger and cleaning kit are handy as well.

A little disappointed out of the box. I take my own blame for not looking closer at the specs but some of the pictures show a large opening to unscrew and fill the bladder. As soon as I opened it I saw that mine had no such screw cap. The top slides over and you fill it and slide the bar across to reseal. It is very difficult to slide open. Again, I didn’t recognize well enough that there is no side fill as pictured with the cleaning tools. Photos should be more clear. I will update again after using it. It sure I would have purchased this had I realized it was a top fill
