Looks great, problems with functionality
I got this case about 6 weeks ago. I get compliments on it all the time, it looks pretty nice and it's really sturdy, but it does have some problems.1. It was difficult to snap the case together over the phone (I was really struggling before I finally got it), and once I got it on, I noticed that the two pieces do not quite line upon the right side, creating a rough little ridge. When I tried to remove the case to realign it, I realized that the bamboo does not give at all and that the case is locked on very tightly. 6 weeks later, I still haven't been able to remove the case.2. The outside edges of the case (the "bumpers") are too thick to plug in headphones or to set the phone onto a dock. Anything aside from very slender cords simply will not go into the phone with the case on. Headphones with L-jacks and thicker connectors (basically anything but the actual Apple headphones) will not fit in the headphone jack hole on the case, and I have not been able to dock my phone onto my car or house iPod docks. I'm estimating that the wood is about 1/8 inch thick around the edges of the phone, and holes in the case line up with the holes on the phone very closely. I simply can't fit anything besides Apple headphones and the charge cord with the case on; this is a problem since I can't remove the case (nor can my boyfriend, roommate, etc).3. I've dropped my phone (more than 3 feet) about a half dozen times with the case on and it's held up fairly well. I did do a sort of drop/throw that managed to crack the upper right corner of the case a few weeks ago. When I noticed that there was a (very small, mostly unnoticeable) crack, I tried again to remove the case in its weaker state, but still to no avail. This thing is definitely sturdy, really cute, and fairly well made. Not sure if I got a lemon or if they all lock impossibly tight, but if you get one, check to see if it'll work with any docks or headphones you use frequently before you snap the case on. I think I will have to wait until it falls 20 feet or more before I'll be able to get the damn thing off, but it looks really nice so I'm pretty happy for now.

stylish! and somewhat protective
I'm surprised by all the bad reviews of this case! I honestly don't care if it's a "fake", the "real" version of the case on Photo Jojo is much more expensive so I wouldn't expect it to be the same exact model. The important part is that it protects my iPhone and looks stylish in the process. I get compliments most times I whip it out in public - the wood is a nice break from the usual shiny plastic, people are always wanting to know what it's made of and where I got it. I haven't dropped it yet and I'm not looking forward to that day, because it isn't the moost durable seeming case as many a review has stated, but I've had it for the past month and nothing has chipped off from daily, careful use. It isn't completely useless - the material makes it easier to hold so you drop it less, the glass on the back doesn't get all scratched up, and it has a lip on the front that keeps the screen from being the first thing to touch the ground in the event of a drop. My only complaint is that you can't really use the camera flash, it just turns the whole photo white because it reflects off the case or something. The physics beat me, but I've heard this happens with a lot of cases. I wish there were cute iPhone cases that also really protect the phone, but I've yet to find one, so this does the job. I used to have a plain black very protective one, but it was just too boring for such an innovative piece of technology. This makes a fashion statement.

Piece of CRAP!
I saw this item on here and was immediately excited for it. It was only like 8 bucks and was exactly what I wanted for my phone. I ordered it and it took a month to get here; when it arrived, the wood was nothing like the picture. It was rough, thin, and unstained. Also, the case would not even fit on my phone. Or even together for that matter. The case comes in two pieces and the bottom slips into the top and is supposed to connect. Mine wouldn't even do that. The bottom piece had nothing to hold it onto the top and form a seal. So I thought I would try it with the phone in it, to see if it would stay together that way; I was wrong. It still fell right off. Also, I could not press any of my side keys or my lock button on my iPhone 4 with this case. It allowed no room for the keys to be touched hardly. The wood was too high up to reach the keys easily and feasibly. Along with that, the camera, as shown in the picture, was not even filled in with the dark color. you could not even see it hardly at all and it wasn't nearly as nice as the one shown in the picture. Needless to say, this was a waste of time and money and not only was it a crappy case, it didn't even fit my phone whatsoever. I am just glad that I didn't spend my money on it, it was from a gift card. I purchased another case at the same time and am 100% satisfied with it. It is exactly like the description and picture. Don't buy a wooden case. If you do, go to a shop and make sure it is great quality and actually fits the phone and fastens correctly. This is a total scam and I honestly would have given it negative stars on here if that were even possible. WORST QUALITY PHONE CASE EVER.

Looks good with good construction. Plan on protecting the wood.
The case looks good and holds the phone well. The pattern is stamped/burned into the wood upside down if you like to use the buttons on the side of the phone to take pictures, but other than that, I really like it. If you order the one made from raw wood, plan on needing to protect the wood with a clearcoat or wax; It will probably stain otherwise as you use. A spray clearcoat really brought out the design and shined the case up niocely. With the raw wood, I thought about staining it and then clearcoating, but got too excited to wait before I used. Maybe next time. This would also ensure that yours would be unique, which I imagine you are. Only used for a week now, but no complaints so far.Verdict: Good BuyUPDATE: Don't drop your phone. The case will crack and you will have to glue it back together. At least it was not my phone though.
