Bouge RV provides a excellent product that you can rely on throughout their product lines.
I have bought a lot of different types of MC 4 connectors over the years and one thing I have learned is cheaper is not always better. If you canโt afford Staubli connectors and most important the crimping tool for those connectors, go with these they are well made and built to sit out and quietly do their job. Just make sure to crimp them properly.

They work for solar connectors.
I have bought these and out of the pack I had about 3 inserts that fell apart inside the plastic piece. Had a few fails due to a bad crimp. I did not make sure the crimps were tight before inserting them into the plastic piece, so that is my fault. The other ones I crimped and checked, and when making sure they were tight inside the plastic fitting, they came out and the piece that locks it in fell off. 3 out of 50 is not bad but would be nice if none of them failed. I have way more plastic pieces than inserts now, mostly due to using the wrong insert for the plastic fitting while making wires for it.
