just received these today. Unlike others I have had, these take 3(AAA) batteries instead of 2 (which do not come with) like some others do. This means that if you forget to turn it off, you have 3 batteries to replace instead of 2, which, with my past track record of forgetting to flip the switch off, can get expensive fast. On the other hand, they are actually quite bright...used in a pantry they are adequate, but they do no substitute for the 60 Watt wall light I had before.More bothersome, the battery cover is already falling off and not reattaching correctly and the magnets do not seem strong enough to hold it to anything. I did not want to mount with screws as this is temporary lighting till the wall fixture is fixed, so the only option was to lay it on a shelf.At the 4-pack price, they will do the job for now, but I would not recommend these for anything that will need frequent or heavy duty use.. They are much less expensive than the ones I bought at the hardware store earlier in the year, for the linen closets, for $9 apiece, but they are definitely less well made.as with others of this style, the switch is cumbersome to flip, in any position (mounted, lying flat, etc) , because the pressure of your thumb to flip the switch moves the entire light, so I found that I have to hold on to the box (even the ones i mounted) when flipping the switch on and off. Ones I've had before with a tap light are easier to operate.I gave it 3 stars because it is bright and does work ok

We have a house built in the 90's and have 4 linen closets and an abundance of closets throughout. Other than in the walk-in closet, the builder chose to put no lights in any of the closets. We lived "in the dark" for over 25 years and heard about these lights from a friend. Bought several sets and installed them everywhere. They are awesome. Without having to run electrical to the closets, these devices put out sufficient light to see the contents. In one of the larger bedroom closets, we installed two so that they could be used on either side. I highly recommend these for a cost efficient way to light smaller spaces. They would probably also be great for under cabinets and in corners that are dark.

Installed two of the four that came in this box - used one screw in the wall plus the magnetic strip. They don't move when you flip them on an off. Sure, they're kind of lightweight plastic but they are very bright and reasonably priced. I didn't want to try to wire the closet for a light installation so I was looking for a battery operated light. I like that these flip on and off like a standard light switch. We'll see how long the batteries last, but so far so good.

I purchased similar lights to these last year for my daughter's midnight potty breaks and they were too dim plus she'd forget to turn it off when leaving. So when I found these my son didn't think I was too bright - jokes on him cause when they arrived and I installed them...he was blinded by the light. Well maybe that's exaggerating but it is really bright and totally awesome! My son uses one for camping, and I elected to use two in my no light pantry to show off all the snacks my kids are eating instead of real meals. I'm really happy with this simple purchase.The only con I have are the magnetic backing plates - it seems good in theory to avoid using the screws they send you, but it's not as strong as you'd hope and flipping the light on and off moves it off it's intended spot. It comes with screws so you can use those or push pins, also it's smart to put it somewhere that you won't forget to turn it off thus draining the batteries.

These arrived today and really aren't like my other ones at all. First of all they take 3 batteries which is odd and the covers are hard to get off with the arrows pointing the wrong way. Then putting the cover back on is a real challenge. The sticky strip with a magnetic side that fastens to the light itself isn't really sticky and does not hold up the weight of the light. 2 screws and 2 drywall screws were included for 4 lights, that didn't work out. Right now its sitting on top of the garbage can because it can't be hung. No idea what I will do with the other 3. Absolute junk.

I read some of the negative reviews about this product revolving around how it can fall off of the wall or how some users had to use tape to keep it secure to the wall. I received it today and noted that there are mollies and screws that come with each of the four light switches for easy wall mounting even if you are using just drywall and don't have a wood beam behind the wall.I put up one switch in my walk-in tool closet and it is not only secure to the wall, it works just as advertised, casting out a strong light that more than takes care of my needs. I would definitely recommend it for dark walk-in closets or any space where you need convenient light.

I bought these for a nightlight so my child would stop turning on the closet light but they are so bright it lights up the whole room. We had to put it in the closet and shut the door to dim it, but we’re still happy with it.The magnet does not work well at all but you can hang it with included hardware. That wasn’t an issue for me.We are using the extras around the house for backup if electricity goes out. I definitely recommend it for this reason

The magnet and tape included for installation of this product are not strong enough to hold it to the wall when you flip on the light switch. That leaves screws as the only option for secure adhesion of this product. Don't buy it if you don't want to mount it with screws unless you're willing to use two hands to turn on the light: one to hold it steadily to the wall, the other to flip the switch.
