Initially I was looking for a convenient meal replacement and was considering Soylent. After looking over their ingredients I started wondering if there was perhaps another meal replacement option with possibly healthier ingredients. In particular I did not want soy protein or sucralose.In this search I came across Ambronite & Ample.I've had the Banana & Ginger & Apple flavors. If you've ever had any type of powdered greens drink relative to those the flavor is pretty decent. Make sure to add enough water. If you leave it too thick the flavor and texture will likely be far less desirable and turn you off from it.I think the way Ambronite delivers their product to the consumer hurts them. They currently do not have a convenient, liquid ready to drink option like Soylent. Not a big deal - perhaps their concerned about waste? Unfortunately they only offer two package sizes - 1600 calorie and 400 calorie pouches. So as far as waste is concerned you won't be saving much here. Making this an even bigger issue is that the pouches are virtually unsealable after being opened. They have typical re-seal lines like gladlock, but you will be hard pressed to get it to work.Apparently they have taken note as both my 1600 pouches arrived inside a secondary re-sealable clear plastic bag that actually works. Also the pouches do not include a scoop. Again they've apparently heard the feedback as the clear bag for each pouch had a scoop.Unfortunately one of my pouches arrived expired as seen in the photo. I received mine 2nd week of Jan 2019 and you can see it expired in 2018. Supposedly the date is in Euro format but it's still expired. Tastes fine though :pAmbronite is currently priced at over double the price Soylent and slightly less or equal to Ample Original. However its a bit more carb heavy so if you are looking for an MR that's lighter on carbs you may consider Ample.Ideally Ambronite would start offering their powders in bulk sizes the way protein powder and weight gainer has been offered for decades now. Instead they, like Soylent and Ample try to push you into a subscription plan that offers modest discounts. I think whoever does this 1st could get a real advantage as people would rather have the discount upfront instead of stuck in another recurring bill. Also it would cut down on unneeded waste from packaging & shipping.

This is so convenient and I actually feel good after drinking it. I was able to decrease my caffeine intake because I had so much more energy AND I used it to lose 30 pounds! Now I'll continue to use it when I'm in a rush and to keep the weight off. The Berries flavor smells good and tastes....neutral? Not sweet and not savory and although it's green it doesn't taste "green" like wheatgrass. Someone mentioned that they thought their package was past its expiration date, but the sell by date is in the European format (D/M/Y), not American. A lot of the ingredients are super good for women, (I haven't had a hot flash since I started using it -YMMV).

The taste is fine, but the packaging is subpar. There was no scoop included, so I am guessing on the portion. Also, the bag is impossible to reseal once open.

If, it is as labeled it will be tough to beat for ingredients. Taste leaves a lot to be desired for me. I'm going to look for a less expensive/better tasting alternative. if I can't find one, I will stick with this. I use it for backpacking. .

I can't even drink it. I would put up a picture but I don't think anyone should see me gagging and spitting.Worse stuff I have ever tried. I thought the berries would taste better than the other choices.I wouldn't recommend giving it to a raccoon and they eat anything. As usual Amazon didn't let me know that there were 4 different flavors to try in a sample batch. I still can't drink it. I would have tried the sample's if I had know. Amazon is famous for doing this to almost everything I have purchased here. I always try to give good reviews but in this case it just didn't justify getting and star at all.

This meal works great when hiking or trail running all day (especially when you are going so fast that you'd get stomach issues with normal meals such as snack bars or sandwiches)!Only minus is that the scoop is delivered with the package now. This is not an environmentally friendly option even though many people seem to have given negative reviews on not having the scoop with the package. Would be awesome to have a checkbox for delivering with or without the scoop.The pouch is difficult to reseal after opening but the powder does not get clogged even though it would stay in a normal container or another bag for few weeks, so it is not an issue.

As often mentioned, it is expensive; but, I have reordered it.

Works well for those on the go instanced where preparing a healthy meal is impossible. Better alternative than stopping for something unhealthy.
