A great mechanical pencil for those who enjoy shakey pencils and is looking for one that is highly customizable. Purchased as a gift, Pilot shake lead advance pencils are one of the top ones manufactured. This pencil is light weight and has a center of mass on the lower end (closer to the tip). Made in Japan, which speaks for itself.Rundown:Cap: metal cap (always a great choice of material) that fits snugglyEraser: uses Pilot HERF-10 (Diameter 4.9 mm, Length 12.5 mm) that acts as a plug for the leadClip: no clip, but has a hole for cell phone strap/charms which is a nice customizable personalization featureBody: clear glossy quality plastic that is prone to scratches on the outside with matte pink interior, so be pencil case mindful and don't let it get scratched up. As another one of the customizable features of this pencil is the clear view barrel that allows pictures or backgrounds to be inserted. Great for students, but don't be too obvious about it if you know what I mean haha. Pairing it up with backgrounds (like cherry blossoms for this particular one)Grip: smooth rubbery grip that is not too soft and not too firm. Another customizable part of this pencil is the 3 rubber cylinders underneath the clear outside grip that can be changed between other pencils of the same series.Tip: made of stainless steel and is 3mm fixed cone shaped that is more pocket friendly, as opposed to straight cylinderLead advance: shake- from my experience while personalizing the pencil is that 2-3 shakes gives me my preferred lead length. click- press down on the cap and the lead also advances. I would say 2 shakes=1 click. To withdraw the lead, one must press cap down and hold, then push exposed lead inside and finally release the cap.Color: very pink. I would say it is a rich pink, not too dark and not too light.Overall, I would recommend this pencil to a pencil enthusiasts that is looking for a highly customizable, personal pencil. Otherwise, it makes a great gift!

After years of typing and writing I needed a comfortable pen and pencil. This one works well for me.

Really cute and comfortable. Got this same type of pencil back in Japan so I'm glad I can still buy it on Amazon. It has a charm holder near the eraser area and you can open up the clear cover to add stickers or pictures into it. You can also change the little blocks that you see under the grip itself. Overall the pencil lasts for a long time and is just great to have for this price. The only thing is that the eraser it comes with is small so honestly don't bother using it (unless you really need to) and just buy a separate eraser. Overall I love this brand and this specific pencil style.

I live and die by this pencil. ive had it for about a year now regularly using it, and it's still in 100% condition.Very easy to draw with. I can now go for hours without my finger hurting so much i have to stop. I would personally call that an improvement! the grip is soft and squishy, absolutely perfect.My only thing with it is that if you use it religiously like I do, you'll need graphite refills for it. Like. you'll need to buy it separately because no one in their right mind has .5mm graphite refills just lying around. The stuff that comes with the pencil is nice though. very soft. overall best 8 bucks ive spent ever.👍

As a person who draws a lot I have gained a bump on my right middle finger and I’ve been trying to find a good mechanical pencil that isn’t to heavy and has a nice grip, I’ve seen a few reviews online of this pencil saying it’s quite good so I’m giving it a try!

Es igual que en la foto aunque realmente no parece ser de mucha calidad. Yo supongo que lo recomiendo si como a mi te gustan este tipo de cosas. Escribe bien, no se que más decir porque se siente igual que cualquier lápiz mecánico que he tenido antes y lo único que resalta es el color,es pequeño también pero no creo que eso sea un inconveniente a menos que tengas dedos de chorizo. Recomendado.

I like this pencil it helps me with my handing writing and has a very nice grip to it.

First, the shipping time was only a few days, not the suggested 3-4 weeks. Amazon wouldn't let me confirm early receipt - a fail in their system.The only small gripe is the metal guide barrel inside slides up and down with a hard "clunk," but this does not affect operation and, honestly, how often does one flip their pencil, anyway? Plus, you could treat it as a bonus that allows you to annoy nearby siblings, spouses, uptight instructors, etc.The led storage capacity is a bit low, maybe 30, or so, but that's pretty minor as that will still last a long time even with heavy use.It's very comfortable to use. I'm rather skinny so my fingers have little .. uh .. padding and the silicon is delightful to hold even for lengthy drawing sessions.Very pleased with my purchase. :-)
