Last summer Milky Chance released their self-produced debut album 'Sadnecessary' on their own label. Within a few weeks, lead single 'Stolen Dance' had reached Number One on Hype Machine and leading music charts in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France and Belgium. The video has a staggering 26 million views on YouTube and is showing no signs of slowing down. Here in the UK Milky Chance have released one single, 'Down By The River', which enjoyed strong support at Radio One from DJs including Zane Lowe and Fearne Cotton. Next track 'Stolen Dance' mixes acoustic guitar and stripped back beats, turning the traditional love ballad on its head. Accompanying the track is the effortlessly cool, performance-led video that has become an internet sensation. Using only their own Facebook pages and their nascent label's infrastructure for promotion, the band have recently sold out a run of 50 European dates, driving themselves across the continent with a set of decks and a couple of guitars, in readiness for the UK release of 'Sadnecessary' through Ignition Records.

Great album.
I'm finding that decent, well-put-together albums are increasingly rare at the moment. This is a welcome exception to the rule. Mellow but funky, these guys know their sound and are excellent in experimenting with it. One of those groups that make great vocals sound effortless. Recommended.

Perfect For a Road Trip
I have been listening to this album on repeat since I got it. It's uplifting, fun and melodic. Perfect for a road trip or sitting on a train!

Not for me
Came across this by chance, it sounded cool so downloaded it. On listening to it, it's a letdown which is a shame as it could have been great if the lyrics weren't so repetitive.

Great product, exceptional music!
The product arrived a little late, but since the music could be downloaded before obtaining the album itself, I was even more excited to finally receive the blessed thing. The tunes fit about every mood but to me they are extraordinarily sensational and relaxing. Hope the band will receive more enthusiasts because they're a real 'stunner' ;-)
