I have a klipsch r-110sw subwoofer - can i add this sub next to it, or should i simply replace it with this sub?

Use both even if you have to use a Y connector.   More than one sub is always preferable because, although they are not directional, they do tend to have dead spots. The  SPL150, like the other reviewer said, will overwhelm the SPL 100 but it can help with a dead spot. Set the SPL 150 to where it sounds best, find the dead (relative) spots in the room. Then move the SPL 100 around till it helps fill the room.

With that said I have two SPL 100s and as much as I like having two, one SPL 150 still would completely dominate them, dead spots or not. I wish I could afford an additional SPL 150 to go with my SPL 100s (yes I'd use all three) so I could set my LaScalas to small raising my crossover from 60hz to 80 or 90hz letting me crank the base up by turning up the subs while running my receiver flat (all by-pass) without any "crossover-walk-over" between my 15" LaScala woofers and the my subs.

Two SPL 120s verses one SPL 150 might be a contest.  I think the 150 would be louder than two 120s but not as even sounding through out the room... but that is just a guess.

PS  I just realized you had r-110s not spl 100s... although both are 10" the r-110 is less powerful and are not the same quality of speaker as the SPL-100... it may not make much difference with that SPL-150.  Set the big boy up then play around with the 10".

how does it compare to the R-115sw? What are the differences?

These two models are the same in spec and technology. R-115SW being the older model and SPL-150 being the newer model in the same position in our subwoofer line up. The main differences are the finish and that the SPL-150 has feet instead of the plinth used on the older model R-115SW.
