Need extra sensor pads very 30 days
Very easy to setup and use just plug it in to the laptop and download the app to keep monitoring the aquarium. If anything the only criticism I have that you need to change the pads every 30 days and they supply you with one but need extras and the box only contains 3, I would like to see a box containing a years supply. Also be careful that you read the description as their are different versions for you to pick.

The Seneye does provide a useful utility, but I feel it is marketed to be more than it actually is, which is a low-ish accuracy digital monitor. This is still useful, especially if you're cycling/curing rock, and provides some peace of mind when you go away on holiday. I have mine inside the weir tower of my system, the Seneye will then alert me when its out of the water, and therefore alert me that the return pump has probably stopped. With respect to accuracy of the pH and Ammonia levels, they should not to be heavily relied upon. I do trust the Seneye's accuracy for seeing fluctuations and trends, but this shouldn't be seen as a replacement for occasional tests. I had an alert that the pH was too low at 7.95 recently, a manual pH test showed it was ok, and more like ~8.2. Though i do think the pH probably did swing downwards, i suspect the error margin is rather large for these, so results should be taken as guidance, but not as gospel. The software seems to have improved upon what it used to be like, but is still a little bit off in places. I think Linux support would go a long way, as I feel it's a waste of energy leaving this thing connected to a spare laptop rather than something lower power than a Raspberry PI. I also think that the ability to change the measurement interval would be useful. This version has the light spectrum analysis, and PAR meter disabled because it's not the "reef" version. You can enable it in the software, but it does cost rather a lot more than just buying the reef version instead I think. Though i think the real value and accuracy of those features is probably overplayed.

It's not as good as I hoped and I regret buying it
I have this for about 9 months. Basically it's a very expensive temperature and water level monitor. Regarding the PH it's very off the real values. Had a solid 6.92-6.93 for a while and when I tested the water with API kit as well as Tetra strips both indicated around 6.2-6.4. Rised up in the following days with a couple of water changes plus some baking soda to around 7 and the device was registering 6.97.NH3 - don't think it does a good reading as I have constantly 0.07-0.014ppm depending on the probe but I think this is not possible: Aquarium Juwel Lido 200 with 2 external filters: Fluval 406 and Oase biomaster 600 running for about 9 months. The fluval has 3 drawers with sachem matrix and the Oase 4kg of biohome ultimate. These should be more than enough for a 400-500L aquarium and mine is only 200L. I feed only once a day and before going on holiday for a day or two I overfed a little bit. There is no fluctuation in the NH3 readings. It only changes its value when I change the probe. I never had a 0.000ppm reading.Later edit: after 1.5 years of using it: my device were keeping the PH reading light always on and that was damaging the slide, and the Ph reading were more off day by day. Seneye sent me a new device but it took around a month to receive it, they sent some extra slides as a nice gesture, but unfortunately the new device only reads 6.4 no matter what solution I try. I am still in contact with the Seneye and we are trying to sort it out, but I regret buying it.Later edit: 3 months later and my issue is not resolved yet. This is a joke.

Great device, questionable software.
I have two of these in both of my aquaria. One runs with the little recommended USB wifi server. These provide me with constant monitoring of the most important items, Ph, temperature and ammonia.Even alerts you by text if there's an issue!.Only problem I have is the software, both site and PC client. The site is unfinished and feels it, you can remove but not add dashboard views, you can't change your 'alerts' etc...Still gives great data but hopefully will improve. The PC client software is frankly a disaster. You can see your basic variables but it crashes every few hours and just stops sending and collecting data. For software you use to keep your fish alive this is not good! Further issue is that the site doesn't let you know this happened...

Good Idea, shame it does not work
Good idea, if only it actually worked.PH is so wrong it's scary, tried the support, they just fed some bull about API liquid test kits are apparently incapable of reading PH if there are tannins in the water, same with Haegan... yh OK!Ammonia is also inaccurate.Temperature is accurate but seems to think that 26.C will kill my Oscars...I hoped and prayed it was just a faulty slide, so I ordered some more from their website but same problems...I really did have high hopes for this, it really is a great idea but I just cannot trust it's readings and unfortunately might as well as just put my money directly into to water and fed it to my fish

Superb bit of kit
I bought this with some trepidation as I could not see how it could do what it claimed to do but it does. I am very impressed with the equipment and it allowed me to monitor my koi pond for two weeks whilst I was away. Since then, I have had text alerts from Seneye warning me of low pH and high ammonia readings in my pond. The online charting and graph readings are very useful in keeping an eye on my pond parameters without getting the test kit out.Highly recommended.

Excellent product
Seneye works as is describe on their website. I definitely recommend this to anyone that worries about the water parameters of their aquarium. I am using it to constantly monitor the ph because I am injecting co2. It works great. They have excellent support. Seneye support answered all my emails within 15 minutes.

No thanks to monthly payments...
I thought I would use it for a while but it requires you to pay monthly for it to function... 👎

Worst thing ever on Amazon
Possibly one of the worst things I ever bought on Amazon. Basically a high dollar thermostat. Doesn’t show ph/no2 or anything else unless you “purchase” update. Also super hard to figure out with no support. Complete garbage.

Really excited about this gift for my wife but it ...
Really excited about this gift for my wife but it has been a total bust so far, hoping to power through and get it working somehow. Every aspect seems to have a problem. Website has not been loading to let me get to the dashboard and view my information, desktop application and website are not recognizing my slide code, phone application does not work as you can not change any settings (temp stuck at C, etc). I will update this review if anything changes but as of now I am regretting my purchase, and the fact that I made the mistake of throwing the boxes away while waiting the 48 hours for my slide to soak. My only hope is that they can fix their website and somehow accept my code, my device is not recognized but somehow I am still pulling readings from my tank. The code is supposed to be part of an algorithm so I don't really trust the readings I am getting. Wish the light sensor worked as well without paying for an upgrade, I paid for the device which includes the sensor but not access to it. If you do not purchase the web server, you will need to have a PC connected to it and always on in order to receive updates about your tank. We do not have a PC right next to our tank so we have a netbook connected to it under the stand. Just some information on the logistics of this product.

***********************DO NOT BUY********************************************
This product does not give accurate PH readings at all. You cant get tech support because they are located in U.K and the hours of support there do not work in the U.S.A. I emailed them regarding support for my brand new seneye and slide and still after 8 days cannot get a proper answer on how to get the monitor to read correctly and it seems like they just find more questions/excuses to state. I have several monitors on my tank and they read correctly. I tested the water and the tester tests correctly but the seneye is garbage readings haven't changed in 8 days there frozen and giving very low readings. There are NO INSTRUCTIONS IN THE PACKAGE WHATSOEVER they claim that's because they are eco friendly, That's great but how does that help me the guy who purchased the product from them. It don't !!! Don't waste your money on this monitor its useless and support is worse.THERE ARE MANY OTHERS AVAILABLE THAT WORK!!!

A great piece of mind
Worried about your system not doing well or how well it is established? is it ready for new fish, are the important parameters (Temp, ph, and ammonia) ok for my specific needs? Worry no more and be ontop of the dynamic situation with the seneye.Instructions for set up are clear and you have to follow them precisely to set it the unit otherwise it will be frustrating. Once it is set up you can sleep much better!
