This is the best product EVER!! I have several scars from various injuries and whatnot over the years... i ended up going to a piercer who was NOT my normal, trustworthy lady and ended up getting my bottom navel pierced. At first, it was all great, then it started to not look too happy. It wasn’t rejecting but it was definitely mad. After cleaning it a bunch and taking antibiotics and anti-inflammatories, I took it out. I got rid of a whole bunch of nasty stuff i’d rather not talk about, but at the end of it all, it left a huge dark, purple scar. It was horrible and I was so self-concious. My normal piercer (I went back to her months later to get a new piercing and I talked to her about my scar, she recommended this product after having it mentioned to her by a plastic surgeon. I wish I took before results, i’m still applying it 2-3 times a day, but omg IT WORKS!!! My scar has gone way down and the dark purple scar has gone away, it’s sightly pink/red now and you can see where the needled entered and exited, but it’s so much better than it was. Even all my friends and my boyfriend says there’s been major change!!

I think this product is worth the money I spent on it. My scar is less red and raised than it was and I have only been using it for a week. The brush applicator is a little bit awkward. I think if they made it in a roll-on it would be an absolute 5 star rating. I had been using VItamin E on my scar and there was no real improvement in appearance after 4 months of use. My surgeon suggested using the ScarGuard MD and I'm impressed with the results.

I had to use this on a child with scars around his mouth. The smell is over powering and I was afraid to even put it on his face. My entire house was filled with the fumes from this product. Additionally, the medicine turns to a white film which flakes. When trying to pull it off the scar, it hurt my son and called even more attention to his scars. I saw no difference and very disappointed. Would not recommend it but perhaps I used it the wrong way. Not sure how though.

this is the best silicone i have used so far.i suffered from severe queloide, so i got so many scars on me, from my big and small accidents, surgeries, cesaria. i did a plastic surgery to remove the old queloide scar and did beta teraphy(a superficial chemo to treat queloide and skins) but the queloide still came back.... i injected and still injecting Corticosteroid every 2 months, coz it's constantly itching and red(means it's still growing).but after i start using this product, the scar got better; at least it can stop the itchiness and redness; also it gives certain relief on my scar everytime i stretch my body. i don't apply everyday(too lazy), but i do need this when i am in pain or crazy itch attack.i strongly recommend it!

Great product! Works well to reduce scars...mostly flattening them and thinning them out a bit. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because once it dries, it flakes off (you're supposed to peel it off 2 times a day), and I find pieces of dried silicon all over my house. Gross! Also it smells like a chemical, so you really can't apply it and then go anywhere where you care if you smell like chemicals. It does go away though. I had surgery, and this product has been wonderful!

The product was recommended by my plastic surgeon. It has a small brush and you just brush it on. It stays on all day in like a film and peels off when you are ready to apply another coat. It is very effective and easy to use. I noticed a difference after the first application. Prior to this product I was using a different product for a month and didn’t see as much progress as I did in one day with Scargaurd.

ScarGuard MD has been very helpful in protecting scars my husband has from surgery. It is a good product recommended by his surgeon and we have reordered it as the process continues. It is easy to use. One brushes it on, gives it a couple minutes to dry and then can dress as usual. It will abrade after some hours and come off but that is to be expected. This product has been very helpful. Scars do not magically disappear but they are protected and that has helped tremendously. The scars have faded and continue to do so.

It is not helping as much as expected at this time. I have only been using a couple of weeks. I had plastic surgery and it actually burned the skin where the steri- strips were placed, so I stopped using for awhile. I began using again. It does not stay on skin very long before it peels off. My husband bought the extra large container. I wish he had just bought the small, as it is not as good as expected and I only use a tiny amount. And I'm sure it will expire before I ever use even an eighth of the bottle.
