This is really good in a barbecue sauce or something that wants some garlic flavor imparted on it, but not a main flavor. I tried it for a shortcut for aglio e olio. Do not do that! Do not do that!! I don't know why it didnt work, but toasting the garlic gave it like a vinegar taste and all the garlic taste was gone. Really
