Was able to use on my last soldering project and it was awesome
This was one of my best experiences using flux at home. My other syringe of MG Chemicals flux worked well with soldering but was a slow messy process to get out of the syringe. With these pens it is SOO much easier. These are no clean but it still leaves a flux trace after soldering. This residue does dry firm so it is not a goopy mess like previous fluxes which is also a huge plus.

Great flux pens. Get worse as they get older, but cheap enough to purchase twice a year or so.
Like most MG chemicals stuff I've tried, these work great. Potent, little residue, and great flux consistency. In a pen like this, especially when working on SMD boards, the viscosity of the flux liquid is important. If it's too thin, when you heat up the device you're soldering, the flux will run everywhere. This product has consistently made SMD soldering a breeze. Sticky.

Easy to use
I do a lot of soldering for my business and these pens offer me the ability to quickly add flux to the item I'm working on. I've used four in the total of a year and so far only had issues with one or two. Sometimes when you press in on the tip it will flood the piece with flux. Currently I have a pen that will hardly produce any flux when the tip is pressed in over and over. Easy to use and not super messy. After a while tho the tip will get flux around the inside of the cap. When it's colder out, in my garage, the cap is difficult to remove as the flux dries and gets gummy.

Effective and convenient
I bought the 2x pack of flux pens. The first one was extremely difficult to press down and ended up breaking and just leaking flux everywhere. BUT amazon refunded me half of this order. The second pen was very easy to press down and saturate the tip. Probably just a fluke on the first one. If that happens to you, maybe saturate the wick in ethanol or IPA and then press down again, don't force too hard.

Great for controlled application
I like being able to control the application of the resin. I am trying to do SMD work and don't have the best soldering iron, but with the resin, it's easier to tin the contacts then get one side of the SMD soldered in place. I'm getting great results!

Excellent product! Will buy again!
I love rosin flux in pen form. I used to use it all the time for assembling really small surface mount components and this product hit the nail on the head m as to what I was wanting for all applications! Doesn't gel up, cleans up great with isopropyl alcohol and a Q-tip or what not. Shipped quickly and works great!!

Solid Flux Pen
After reading several reviews here on amazon, I was a little hesitant to purchase these pens. I did not experience any of the issues others have complained about while using them. When I first opened the pen, I was careful to only press down enough to prime the pen. The tip will turn yellow when it is saturated with the flux. Once the tip is primed you really do not need to pump it or press hard for the flux to flow. I used this to modify the motherboard inside an original xbox console and the solder points were very small. This pen put just enough flux to board to allow a good solder connection without drenching the board in flux. It worked exactly like it needed to. I would recommend this product to anyone, just use it as intended.

Basic
It's flux in a pen. Not a lot of room to mess up.

I will buy this again.

I have used some no clean flux pens and I find when heated the fumes are really bad. This flux is not. Leaves residue but not conductive and easily cleaned off. Dispenses nicely from the fiber tip.

Great for novice solderers! It enables the user to replace chips without bridging! Great product

worked well once it got flowing. flux formulation is decent.

Both pens were defective. When pressing the top to prime it, huge pools of flux come out uncontrollably. Been buying these pens for years but not anymore. Terrible QC lately from MG chemical products across the board. They must have switched to a fly-by-night Chinese supplier.
