One of the best purchases if you use lots of different Usb cables and devices. There are Soooo many reasons why certain cables don’t work. Usb is “less a standard” and “more a lottery” but this makes it simple to check and label every cable for it’s suited purpose.

I have dozens of USB cables from more than 20 years of using technology. Typically, there is no information on the cable as to its capabilities. The Treedix Cable Tester worked great in identifying exactly what any USB cable is capable of providing! In a less than half hour, I was able to test all of my cables and bin them based on USB version and Power Deliver (PD). The displays ar eeasy to read and response is fast. I liked that report what USB version are included from 3.0 to 4.0 and Thunderbolt. It identifies PD versions or no PD. It has an indicator that the cable can deliver 65 Watts or less. It reports if a C cable includes an emarker chip and displays the data in the chip. It also has a report that lists the supports signals by pin in the cable (and associated connector in the plug).

Item is as described. Fast delivery. It is a bit expensive but display the necessary info about the cables. I wished the device can update future firmware when technology evolved. Thank you very much.

This is one of the best "devices" that I have purchased in Amazon. I have so many USB cables from different types and either for charging only or charging and data or fast charging or high speed data transfer cable. Now I know everything what's their capabilities. This is very handy device that must have available to anyone because specially now the USB-C is very confusing and so many types and so many pins and also the emarkers, not like those previous USB A, B, mini, and micro have only 5 pins and the USB-C have 24 pins with different capabilities.

Very good tool to have if you have a lot of random cables in a box somewhere and you need to know what cables have what capabilities. I went through over 100 cables and found the ones that were usb 3.0+ or had advanced charging capabilities. Saved me a bunch of time and effort!
