Should have bought it sooner . No regrets.
Very nice piece . I have really enjoyed the accuracy and easy to change degrees of cuts . I put mine on a Hercules miter saw stand from Harbor freight , it also is well worth the money .

Game changing speed!!
Absolute GAME CHANGER!! I was building deck railing using 3”x3” angle iron with 90 degree and 45 degree cuts. Abrasive chop saw are so slow and produce a lot of heat plus throw sparks everywhere. Angle grinders are ok, but you go through a lot of blades and throw sparks everywhere. Used Milwaukee’s largest Portaband. Works great on cutting 90 degree, but 45degree not so much. Plus they are not the straightest cuts every time. NO SPARKS. The Evolution saw cost a lot. but the time you save is undeniable. One cut and I knew I made the right decision. It’s like your cutting wood. It has a clamping system I use every cut. If you don’t it can damage the $100 blade. I know. Pros NO SPARKS, NO HEAT, NO FIRE DANGER Speed, speed, speed. Just like a wood chop saw for cutting angles, up to 45 degrees both ways Build quality is very good Customer Service was great. Cons This thing throws metal pieces everywhere. Like a lot. Saw a video were a guy put a magnet next to blade and it caught a lot of metal shavings. I have not tried it yet. It’s heavy. I carried this thing up 20 stairs to the deck every day. Quality usually weighs more. Saw came with a free blade but got the blade 2 days after the saw.

Can’t do better for the price tag.
I more or less knew what I was getting into before I bought it. A buddy of mine had one about 6 or 7 years back when they first came out, basic model. It’s a hefty price tag but worth it. Can’t say I notice much difference in speed over a traditional abrasive saw but i don’t push it anywhere near as hard either, it’s smooooth. Just go slow and let the saw do its thing. Cut some 4” schedule 40 (1/4”) pipe with it. The noticeable difference is being able to pick the piece up bare handed IMMEDIATELY after the cut. It absolutely does make sparks, but very few in comparison to an abrasive. It also does make a hell of a mess and I need to make sure my 2 year old doesn’t ever go in the garage without shoes now… but the cuts have virtually no blade walk. 2 cuts were exactly square all the way around on both faces. One cut had a single plane that had .003” blade walk over 4.5” distance. Thats pretty impressive. I’ve used $20,000 cold cut saws that took nearly 40 hours to shim everything right during install and still be off more than this saw. Time will tell on the blades but after a couple dozen cuts, zero noticeable blade wear. For a $1,000 saw on a portable dolly table… it just doesn’t get any better than this. Only cons are, I wish it had a shop vac port and some skirts like my m18 miter to catch some of the mess, and I wish it had a dual clamping fence instead of screw clamps.

You won’t be disappointed.
This thing works GREAT! Leaves a machined like finish true to square and repeatable. Fits my category of, “money well spent”. My neighbor has been using the previous version of this same saw 4-5 years in his machine shop and it still cuts as good as my new one. The stand for it is a good balance between weight and stability and allows me to move it out of the way.

Really good metal saw
Wow, this saw cuts metal great. Somewhat expensive for someone like me that does not need to cut metal often but then again, cuts are now straight and smooth vs crooked and wavy from my past without this saw.
