The 8x12 heat pack is large enough to use on your lower back, neck, arms and legs. It is also convenient enough to carry with you anywhere to keep warm on a cold day. The 8x12 lasts about and 2 hours depending on how well you insulate it.

Not so hot.
Unfortunately this brand doesn't work very well. I bought two of the Hotshotz brand. Both have a significant air pocket, which means less thermal reactive chemical. Following the directions, I boiled for 20 minutes and noted all of the crystals had disappeared. After cooling, I noticed several new crystals had appeared, but did not set a chain reaction.I bought another heat pack, a Heat Wave brand, to compare. It's more expensive, $35 instead of $25, and it works much better. It gets hotter, and stays hot longer. No undissolved crystals after reset (boiling procedure).Advice: Pay more and get the Heat Wave brand, not the cheaper Hotshotz brand.
