Temari: How to Make Japanese Thread Balls

I was fascinated with pictures of Temari balls on Internet and decided to order this book to learn more about it. I consider myself a beginner in the matter of crafts, but I try to follow instructions and have patience to learn.I only wrote this so that other readers can understand that a complete beginner can do a great Temari ball, just by following the instructions in the book and I posted a picture here on Amazon to show it. It is the second easiest ball in the book, and it took some time due to my general lack of time, but it was so rewarding afterwards and made a great gift!When I first got the book I was a little disappointed because the book was black and white with only eight full color pages, but when I started following instructions this caused no problems because everything is nicely drawn and very detailed. Step by step instructions great to follow!I loved the book and I can only recommend it to anyone who wants to learn about this wonderful craft.

My friend misplaced her Temari ball book and I was glad to surprise her with this one. She loved it.

Clear and concise. A good how-to book.

I haven't had the opportunity to try making these yet, however the book seems to have a clear explanation with good illustrations. I'm anxious to get started.

This book has some wonderful ideas, but I find the pictures and directions difficult to follow. If you have never worked on a temari ball before, the directions can be confusing. Pictures of the finished balls in the beginning are wonderful, but I wish the color pictures were with the actual directions for each ball.

Going to get the supplies and give this craft a try. If it only came with spare time.

Having never tried Temari before, I found the directions to be precise and clear. I finished all the balls easily and have moved onto books 2 & 3.

I may start to follow this if I ever get the V ruler from USA.

Good book, informative which is what I wanted as I am new to Temari. There are plenty of diagrams to follow.Delivered within the time period specified.
