I liked how easy it is to setup but it 's a little wider than I would like for it be

I like that it folds to very thin dimensions making it easy to store away. It has three different size slots for different thickness cuts, and it can handle a 7 inch round loaf easily. The only issue I see are the sides. They could be less "wobbly" when opened and locked. This next comment isn't in reference to the slicer but to the manufacturer. They send you an e-mail thanking you and offer you a 32 page bread recipe attachment. Great!!! The only problem is they give the ingredients, but not baking temps or times. Overall though, it's a really nice little slicer.

I love the ingenuity of this device. I make my own bread but I am terrible at cutting even slices, so this seemed perfect. HOWEVER, it's made to accommodate such large loaves that a standard sized bread knife (8") will not work with it ... it's just not long enough to span the guides. I'm a little surprised the designers didn't consider this when they made the thing. They could have easily provided an additional groove and panel to adjust to the width of the bread loaf being sliced to accommodate a standard bread knife.So, if you already have a 10-12" bread knife, this is perfect. Otherwise, be prepared to buy a longer bread knife in addition to this device. Otherwise the wood is nice, it's well-made and attractive.Update: After continued use, this thing just gets worse. Because the slats aren't all the same size, you have to continually adjust the position of the loaf which means you end up just eye-balling the slice widths rather than relying on the slats alone. It also gets looser over time, resulting in wobbling as you slice. This all means that it really ends up being more trouble than it's worth.

Nice and compact. Once opened, I wasn't too thrilled at finding a sticky substance on both sides of the tray. An SOS pad took care of that, luckily. As for the main component, it seems to be well made. Time will tell. The end piece that the bread rests up against came with one end broken. Considered sending it all back, but that would have been a pain. A little waterproof craft glue seemed to fix it for the time being. Again, time will tell.

Bread slicer was received two days after order. I am able to slice bread to desired width and the base catches most of the crumbs. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the bread slicer is a little too wide, however it still works. If I can find a longer bread knife it would be perfect. Really happy with the quick delivery.

I'm pleased with this slicer. It works great, and it's easy to use. At myfirst try I get nice even slices. And I love the multiple thicknessoptions to cut the bread. Set up is easy and it folds up easily to storewithout taking up a lot of space, which is also good for small kitchen.Besides I really love the bread bags and the twist ties. I make homemadebread so I need lots of bread bags. The bag is big enough, it fits 2lb.bread machine loaf. And the ties close the bags well. If you make breadyourself, I highly recommend this slicer kit.

This bread slicer is to big for a loaf of bread.I had to use the longest knife I could find.Moves all over and you cannot slice the bread.Sent it back.It does not work at all.

This guide looks great on my counter top. I love the design. It's foldable and has a crumb catcher for easy cleanup. It's very easy to use.I could never get a good cut until I got this slicer. Now I look forward to using this slicer to cut my bread everyday. I also like the differentslicing sizes. Besides, I appreciate the fact that it's bamboo, which is sturdy but not going to harm my knife blade. The 100*bags and 100*ties are added bonus that most products don't have. This product is one of my most favorite kitchen gadgets now.
