Love it
Love it, I really needed something to help me understand how the body works. Only bad thing is every two or so pages are stuck together. Spent about an hour and a half takin them apart but, I at least looked at all the poses. ❤️😋

1000 poses to play with
Amazing book. As an aspiring model, I find it very helpful. It gives inspiration and boost your creativity. you can practice the poses at your home or just pick the ones you like and try to give your own style. Modeling is hard, its not easy to pose in front of a camera when you don't have the experience. Now, with this book, you have 1000 poses to be creative with and to never bore the photographer. I have to say that the pages are very thin and they came stick to one another. My book came on backwards, but I didn't return it because, for me, is like the book itself is making a pose. Other than that it's a great book, I recommend it to any person interested in the fashion world in general.

It is what it says on the tin, so-o..?
I really don't know what the complaints are here, as seen in other reviews. The book is exactly what it says on the tin; it never purported to be anything else. 1,000 fascinating poses by Coco Rocha. That's what it *is*, and it's very useful to me as I pose figures in the 3D/CGI domain. Yes, the paperstock is whisper-thin, and occasionally I need to glide my finger between stuck pages... but so what? The poses are mostly very modern-looking, as though from modern dance, but there are some classic, "old-fashioned" poses in there, too. The chunky, heavy volume looks chic and handsome, and I am perfectly pleased with the book. What is the "other thing" that the complainers here were looking for, I wonder?

Extremely happy with this book
I've bought this book used. But even so all the pages are stuck together so you have to peel apart 500 pages haha(it looked untouched, although once they are peeled, they stay apart). So there are 2 pages per pose, which it looks okay but for 1000 poses(2000 pages or so) it should really only be 1 per page. Crazy! As it is, the book is bulky and thick. The pages are very thin and do bend easily. But for half the price, i was more concerned about the quality of the poses and content.. obviously. The lighting is okay, not going to complain. So minus 1 star for the book quality. That's really where the book lacks. For the recommended retail value of $60, the poses are worth it. The book quality is not. I still would recommend it though for serious creatives.Only finished up to pose 350, but wow! Lots of thought was put into the artistic/dance inspired poses. It'll definitely take my photography to the next level.Ive always had a liking towards ballet / abstract poses used in a photographic way and this book delivers just that. :).

Great Customer Service
My book arrived badly damaged. The box undergo severe damaged during shipment. I reached out to customer service and they were able to replace my damaged book within a few days. I am very happy with my replacement book. The quality is excellent. I would definitely recommend it and would buy it again.

A terribly produced disaster!
When I hear the phrase "strike a pose", I think of a person freezing in a particular body position, if only for an instant, while a picture is taken, and then moving on to the next pose. This book has a much different definition of pose in that many of the "poses" are just intermediate frames of dancing and jumping moves that are impossible to hold and would rarely if ever be used as actual poses for a photograph. Many of these "poses" are unflattering, with the model's arms partially obstructing her face or the body frozen in contorted, unbalanced positions. On top of that issue, because the producers of this book decided that half the pages would be nearly blank, with just a big number from 1-1000 on the bottom, they were forced to use a thin onion skin-ish type paper that sticks together, making the book almost impossible to use! Considerable force has to be used to separate many of the pages, sometimes damaging the pages in the process. How could this problem not have been noticed and dealt with before release?I suspect this book is an attempt to get some cash out of the long term 360-degree photography project the author mentions in the preface. Maybe in digital form, with access to all the angles, this project would have some value, but in unusable printed book form with only space to show one view of each pose, it's a waste of paper and money.

Great for models to reference.
Well made book. My photography models pour through this book for ideas and inspiration. They bookmark 20 - 30 poses from it for reference every shoot.

Depends on what you expected!
I really love Coco and admire her greatly, and she has done a fantastic job in the making of this book with Steven. Like the other reviewers said, the pages are thin and I fear ripping them because they are stuck together. But aside from all that, by content, this is what I think of the book.I find this book to be a fantastic work of art, but I feel like it is a lot more of capturing dance poses than the study of pose/posing as a model. The poses she has are hardly those you see in editorial prints or lifestyle prints. A lot of the poses really look like dancing or acting poses. She has goofy expressions in a lot of them and very dynamic movement poses, or storytelling poses. I haven't looked through all 1,000 poses yet but it is a lot more artistic moment-capturing in style than I expected, which was really being able to study posing coming from such a successful high-fashion model. 1,000 poses is a challenge and I greatly respect and admire the work Coco and Steven put into making this book, but I guess I wasn't expecting it to be so dancer-like. To shoot 1,000 print and editorial looks would be a serioussss challenge though. She is also wearing the same outfit in the whole book and the photography look is the same - like the one on the edge spine of the book - which I suppose makes sense given the "challenge," but makes it even more of an acting/dancing "poses" book to me. Also, because her style of posing in general involves a lot of movement, it's really hard to "study," in my opinion. It's a great show-off work of art between Coco and Steven though, truly incredible collaboration.

Geniale Fotgrafien

Excellent concept artistique, imprimeur-relieur totalement nul! Connaisseurs attention!
Grrr! Quel dommage!
