The Fish Child

people looking for a happy lovey dovey movie will probably be disappointed with this film but i thought this movie was fantastic! if you don't like reading subtitles, this movie isn't for you either. this is not your typical lesbian film about two girls who meet, fall in love, and live happily every after. the lead ladies are already in an established complex relationship and carries on as such. the movie starts out after a crime has been committed but does not follow the events that lead to the crime in a chronological order. so you have to pay attention. there are parts of this movie that was powerful and yet disturbing. the acting is phenomenal. a must see!

1 hour and 50 minutes of my life I will NEVER EVER get back it was the slowest,most unriveting movie ever made. I give it 1,000,000,000 thumbs DOWN !!!!!!

A very nice movie about Love and what some people are willing to go through for the Love they have for another. It was very entertaining. Kept me hoping the two in Love would make everything workout in the end where they would be Happy and be together. If you enjoy a story about Love you will like this movie.

It was a little slow and there were parts that I wish were better developed like the relationship between lala's father and the other girl (forgot her name), it starts off with the present and goes back to the past to tell the story of how it got to where the movie started off so you have to really pay attention or you will be lost.

This was well written. I wanted to fast forward to the end so I could know what happened. This was a great love story that dealt with a great deal of issues. People do crazy things for love and these two definitely did.

Good film

Really enjoyed this, although I would not call it a thriller . From the title I had worried that it might be a little in the magic realism style , but far from it . The images of argentina reminded me of the marvelous Bonbon.If you enjoyed XXY then this is definately for you . Once again Ines Efron [ loved the scene when she finally cuts her hair] is excellent . Stayed up past midnight on a work night just to see what would happen to both girls . A little gem .

Ines Efron, who is probably best-known for her starring role as a hermaphrodite in XXY, gives another excellent performance in this crime thriller. The film's director, Lucia Puenzo, was also the director of XXY. Efron's character is a young woman from a wealthy background, who is in love with the family's maid (a very good performance by Mariela Vitale).A lot of the story is told in flashback, making it slightly difficult to follow at times; and Efron's character is self-indulgent and not particularly likeable. But the plot is gripping and this is a film which I would want to watch more than once.

can't really make my mind up. enjoyable in parts.

Did not know what to expect throughout the film, that's what made it interesting, took some time to figure out the relationship that made it interesting.
