Easy to Use and Swallow
Kelp is a super healthy source of iodine to aid proper thyroid function. When used as recommended the taste is barely noticable and the included dosage spoon is easy to use. The dosage is a very tiny amount so the bottle will last a long time. I was pleasantly surprised at the tiny amount needed and it's easy to sprinkle on many different foods such as eggs, pasta, etc. I like the fact that it's not another capsule or tablet to swallow - just sprinkle! Thanks NOW brand!

Excellent!!!
Excellent suplement! It helped me greatly lose a lot of weight. The taste is horrible (I knew this). Best if taken early in the mornings.

A VERY NECESSARY NUTRIENT
There are those of us who will not use the highly processed white salt available in grocery stores, but much prefer the natural sea salts that contain necessary trace minerals. I for one use Celtic gray salt mixed with Redmond salt and have Himalayan salt in my grinder. (Covering all bases?) Anyway, as good as these salts are they do not contain iodine - a very necessary nutrient. The kelp fills that void, is natural, and is easy to take such a small amount. So why only four stars? Simply because the measuring spoon that comes with the kelp is so small that I managed to lose it on a trip. I wrote to the company asking if they could send me a couple of replacements. The reply was that they didn’t have any in the office (Duh!) and they would contact the warehouse Well, a couple of weeks later, I haven’t heard a thing back from them. Not having the correct measuring spoon makes it a little difficult to put down the correct amount every day. At best I am guessing and don’t really like to do that.

Fantastic
I am very satisfied with this organic kelp powder. It’s affordable and it was hard to find locally. I need it daily for iodine since I am a vegetarian that eats only sea salt or pink salt. I either put it in a vegetable glycerin gel cap or add it to my black beans.

Keeps my thyroid function correct
I was worried about not consuming enough iodine for proper thyroid function. Was starting to lean hypothyroid. I don't eat table salt and that's the place most Americans are getting their iodine. Also vegan so I'm not eating animal sources. This has been a perfect fix for me. Of course I keep an eye on thyroid function with my doctor and regular blood work. My physician was a little skeptical when I wanted to try this before a pharmaceutical approach. But I do a lot of research and was open to the pharmaceutical approach if this wouldn't have worked. Iodine is important for lots of bodily function. This is an organic natural food substance not an extract or supplement. Not medical advise just personal journey.

should state to take with selenium
i was unaware that the body needs selenium and iodine among whatever else simultaneously in order for the body and thyroid to work properly. im also still not sure how safe it is to eat kelp cause from what i heard it sucks up all sorts of other things. both times i tried kelp i had a similar reaction. my body felt like i put something bad into it. the first time i had kelp it was from a very different source. different brand and not even from amazon. when i found the now brand sold kelp i had higher hopes it would be a good experience cause i assume they would thoroughly analyze their product to make sure they are safe, but i ended up having essentially the same reaction as the other supposedly organic and sourced from nature brand. when i started taking selenium with the now brand kelp i noticed i felt different. the bad feeling wasnt so obvious. id still like a safer iodine source. there are many selenium types out there. the kind i used says selenium yeast on the ingredients. they feed selenium to yeast and the yeast turn the inorganic selenium into an organic form of selenium. i tried finding iodine yeast but i couldnt find any. the selenium yeast tastes like nutritional yeast does. it tastes and feels like you are eating food, not a pill. maybe shrimp are a good source of natural iodine. ill just have to keep looking till i find a food source of iodine. at least i found one super important food sourced element for my health.
