Holy Bible: New International Version

This is the NIV 1984 edition. This was made before politically correct gender garbage got into some Bible translations, including the newer editions of the NIV.My only complaint is how the translators relegated a few spots of text to the footnotes instead of in the text. That's why I switched to the HCSB.

What can I say, the bible I receive is in good condition with nice large readable print, a 2011 NIV addition with nice imitation leather cover. The real problem is I ordered a hard cover 1984 addition. I already have a new 2011 NIV Bible and do not like it, I do not think I will like the used one any better! It is not worth sending it back, but I sure am not going to order another one. I will continual my quest to find a usable 1984 NIV Bible in used book stores where I can see what am buying.

I purchased this bible for my grandson and it definitely exceeded my expectations (all my previous bibles have also been Zondervan). I especially liked that the print was very dark and easy to read and felt blessed to be able to find a 1984 version of the NIV, since there aren't that many around anymore. The 1984 and versions previous are the only ones that still contain the complete word of God; subsequent versions of this precious Word have been compromised by the removal of "unnecessary" scriptures by the "powers that be."

I love this Bible, I would have liked the words of Jesus to be written in red. I really like the hard back, also it lies flat when you open it. Thanks Again.

Honestly....I threw it in the trash can....no, really! I do not expect much when buying a used book. But this one Bible was in the worst condition of all that I have bought in the past few years. It also did not have some of the features all the others have that I like....such as center column chain reference system. Nevertheless I will buy again as the odds are the next one will be as good as all the previous.

It was a gift for a close friend and they really love it.Great bible to have in your home or library.

It's a 1984 NIV but I received a paperback both times I ordered from this selection. Kind of disappointing. I really wanted this hardcover 1984 NIV.
