The hinge on the IKEA PS 2014 Secretary Desk broke and finding a replacement had been dragging on for months. Found them in Italy last year and for some reason only purchased one and paid a million pounds postage then came the delay then came now - oh - both broken!! Back to Italy - no longer ships to UK.Then - POP - they turn up here.These kinda seem to be made of a better material than the IKEA originals, only time will tell. I drilled out the four smaller bracket screw holes to take the stouter IKEA grub screws. Said bracket operation is best done held firmly in a vice (fold card over vice jaws to protect bracket surface - not too tight!) - holding tight with pliers doesn't really cut it. A tapered drill bit would have probably made it easier too... Otherwise, Brilliant - Assembly Easy - The Niece Loved The Little Silver Lever That Made It Hard And Easy To Flap The Lid. Not here to rate the IKEA desk, but it was worth saving for this small expense.Thank you seller for making this available in the UK. 100%

Great replacement for broken supports on a tv cabinetI ordered one to test and thought I had lost the screws - ordered the second one to find it also didn’t come with any screw eitherWould have given 5 out of 5 but for the fact neither of the 2 items I bought on two separate occasions was supplied with the screws clearly shown in the picture

Overall, it did the job for me, so I am not returning it, but I had to find four screws somewhere. Please, note that each pair of holes have different sizes! This is actually quite important because most likely your previews screws (assuming that you are replacing a broken hinge) will only match one of the two sides of the hinge... Also bear in mind that there was no tool in the package, so you will need to buy a small torx screwdriver if you haven't got one.

Quality product and easy to install

Does what it says and well made. Replaced a broken hinge in a tv cabinet with this, it was exactly the right fit. There are cheaper ones made by non branded companies, but Hafele are well known so had more confidence it would work.

Easy to install and adjust resistance

I bought this to replace a previous Hafele hinge on my son's large wooden toy box. That one broke after a year of daily use. This replacement one, however, does not soft close and offers no resistance to the heavy lid closing. This will obviously end up hurting my son's fingers at some point, so I'm now looking for an alternate option. And yes, I have adjusted the hinge to its maximum resistance setting, but it makes no difference.
