9/24/25, I needed a timer for our outdoor lights, I came here and read a bunch of reviews, some were pretty negative, but I don’t see an issue with this programmable two way light switch timer. It is very easy to install. Black is load coming in, red is load going out. White is neutral. Green is ground. Installed in a matter of a couple of minutes. If I am looking for more timers, I will definitely get this one reasonably priced well-made, and like I said easy to install.

I bought this timer because I thought it was a good value buy. I also wanted to compare it to a timer I got from one of the big box stores. Hands down this timer has more features, more programming options, a larger display, is more esthetically appealing, and is nearly half the cost of the other one. Installation was fairly basic. The instructions diagram was a little confusing, but the lines are clearly labeled on the timer. If you have experience installing light switches this should be a breeze. I really like how you can turn the light off and on just by pressing the top of the door that covers the programming buttons. With the door closed all that's visible is the time display that is readable even without my reading glasses. I don't know how durable it will be, but my initial impression is VERY FAVORABLE!

I’ve been using smart light bulbs to control my outdoor lights. I’ve been frustrated with them because every time the power goes out some of them go into pairing mode. I’ve been looking for another way to control the lights when I noticed these timers. They were not terribly expensive, so I ordered three. Pros: If you’re familiar with electricity, they’re not hard to install. Programming was very straightforward. They turn on and off as programmed. They have a built in battery backup, which is nice if the power goes out. You can manually turn the controlled light(s) on and off with a push on the control cover. Cons: The control cover. Very, and I mean very cheaply made. I don’t know why the company made such a good device but finished it with a “crappy” cover. There are two tiny plastic points that serve as the hinge. I’m not sure if I broke one of the points on one of the covers during the install or if it came out of the box that way, but as cheesy as it is, it could have happened either way. I’m just being very careful with the other two switches. If you can over look the control cover, then, for the price, it may serve your purposes.

In the box: Comes packaged in manufacturer packaging, includes the product and instructions. Operation: This is where the description is in a big vacuum. This timer is programmable. You connect to L1(hot), Neutral, Ground and red to the light or whatever is being controlled by the programmable switch. You are allowed to program your on and off times for re-occuring or daily functions. On and Off. It also has a very quiet and sensitive plate you push for manual on and manual off "push" function. If you manually turn the switch on and leave it, the appliance will switch off at the next scheduled Off program. If you manually turn the switch off and leave it, the appliance will switch on at the next scheduled On program. You can program up to 7 ON and OFF programmed functions. This particular timer has a Larger LCD with large Clock numbers which make it much easier to see. The LCD is NOT backlit. There is a Random On/Off setting that will turn your appliance on and off within 2 to 30 minutes of your programmed settings and make it appear as if you're still at home to deter intruders. It says it has a back up battery in the switch to retain programming during power outages. input voltage 125vac 60 hz Max Power Rating 1875w resistive 1000w tungsten 1/2 HP Installation requires removing your old switch and connecting the wires. You may not have a neutral in your switch box (white wire) and you need this for the Prog sw to work. If you can change a switch and connect wires (with the power off) then you should be able to connect this prog sw. Otherwise it would be in your best interest to have an electrician install this prog sw for you. This is a basic programmable switch and the one I have installed has performed well. For a programmable switch that is low on cost and does decent performance, I would recommend this Prog sw. Very easy to install and program don't know if the DST will work, it didn't ask me for location or date, we will see what happens, highly recommended

I had one my timers fail after ten years and decided to try this one that is significantly less expensive. I is just as good and easier to program that the one it replaced. I like the large display too...no need for readers to program it.

we have a two story home and a covered patio on the second floor facing the front yard. each Halloween i use fire flame bulbs in the recessed lighting and have had to manually flip the switch on each night and off each morning. I finally decided to install this timer and it is perfect! I no longer have to remind my sons to turn them on and off each day! Install was super easy and setting up the program schedule was even easier! You can even put them on random mode for when you are on vacation and want to fool the would be burglars!

The hinged cover is plastic and is hard to open and close. Afraid of breaking it.

Muy bien producto y no le pueden estar moviendo las horas. Solamente que no he logrado hacer que apague al día siguiente. Solo se puede hasta las 11:59 pm o no está bien explicado y no he sabido cómo hacerlo.

This timer switch works perfectly for our outdoor lights. Programming was simple and instructions are clear. Can be turned on or off manually as well by pressing the door/cover. The body of the switch is a good fit for Decora style cover plates.

Fácil de instalar. Totalmente práctica. Con este equipo no me preocupo por encender o apagar las luces.
